Watch how you wire this up.

I needed a waterproof switch to put on my quad when I put on a LED light on the handlebars After reading the reviews & comparing different products, I choose this switch. But thanks to another post you have to watch how you wire it up. Black -positive, blue - accessory & tan is negative. I ended up buying another 1 for a similar install on another quad. I hope it holds up to the conditions it will be put through.

I use this as a bilge switch for my jet ski (650sx). I am using am automatic bilge so the amount of switching is minimal, once off and once on when riding. I mount the switch inside the jet ski so it is not being submerged or exposed to water as much as something that would on the handle bars. I would like to mount it on my handle bars so I can use the bilge pump manually but I am worried it would wear it out and expose it to too much water. But it works well for the purpose I originally intended it for. My preference has changed though and I wish I was using a manual switch. I might try that eventually.

I installed it professionally in a BMW r1200 gs for my auxiliary lights. They lasted 3 days before the switch broke down with maybe three times that it was used

Good action, lights up when "on." Used this to replace the not-waterproof switch that came with the wiring harness I used for auxiliary lights on my dirtbike. It's been A-ok through multiple bike washings and plenty of splashes on the trail.

Good value for the money, I'm using it with a relay for a light bar on my '83 Yamaha XT550 and it works perfectly. My only complaints would be the dust cover doesn't seat properly so it gets snagged sometimes and I wish the cable was about a foot longer.
