Light weight, very strong, and very stable.

I am a 60+ woman, who suffered a bad accident a few months ago, that left me with back problems. I bought this stool because of my back. -- It came very quickly, exactly as advertised, and exactly what it looks like in the photo. It is truly light weight and easy to move, yet is very stable. Much more stable than any other, that I have ever tried over the years. As I lose ability to bend, it adjusts in height, to my needs. I am 5' now and the lowest setting is perfect and should be for some time to come. Also the buttons you push-in on the legs, to move them up & down and lock in holes, are quite easy to manipulate, even for my fingers. The assembly was quite simple... just turn over the seat, cross the metal braces/legs, then screw in the 'knobs' that holds it together. I found that putting each of the main four in, a little at a time, working around in a circle, seemed to work best in hitting the drilled holes... then do the fifth/center one last, after the leg braces have been pulled down into place. I'm afraid, I'm not describing that part well but please trust me, it was easy for me to do in just a few minutes time.

The plastic knobs on the screws are splitting and the back broke apart when I sat on the stool this morning. Upon inspection, several other screws have the same problem. This is very unsafe. Buyer beware!!!

I purchased this seat for my 76 year old father in law who has been having trouble getting in and out of the shower these days. He has trouble with getting dizzy when he tries to wash his feet and lower body. Since having this seat he is able to shower more frequently as well as being able to wash himself thoroughly without the fear of falling in the shower. The seat adjustment feature allowed him to find the best height for him to be able to bathe himself properly. He simply loves this seat.

I recently had total knee replacement surgery, followed by quadriceps repair surgery. I have a shower stall with a built-in seat, but did not feel too safe when using because it's slick when wet. I ordered this shower stool and it is PERFECT. I feel totally secure when using the shower now and cannot praise this product enough. i carefully reviewed the chairs. This model has 2 places on the corner of the chair with a cut out for the hand held shower. I had a previous chair and no place for the hose so it sprayed around. This has good construction and the small blue net bag is perfect for soap or body wash. I would buy it again and would recommend it to others.
