The positives and negatives

This painting was fun. There are positives and negatives to this kit. Let me start with the positives.
1) the canvas came rolled, many I've done have come folded and creased. This one was rolled and has no creases.
2) challenging, small areas kept me busy for awhile
3) fun to do and looks nice when completed
Now for the negatives (and the reason for my choice in rating)
1) I've done several paint by numbers and for the first time ever, I ran out of paint. I ran out of black paint, fortunately I had some left from another paint by number I used.
2) some of the colors, particularly the white and other light colors were thinner and didn't cover the numbers well. I tried doing a few coats but you can still see the numbers.
3) though the finished picture is nice, it doesn't look anything like the represented photo. I expected this so it didn't bother me too much. It's good for customers to know what they are getting though and would be better to have a more realistic presentation photo.
Overall, this piece was fun and I'm happy with the finished product. But it's not my favorite.

This is good for someone who wants an easy paint by number. This is my third one I have done and it was the easiest by far. I just started my 4th painting and it is WAY more detailed. What I was not happy about was the colors didn't match the picture you see and the paint was a little too thick. I had to add water which helped ( it says not to add water). I also had to go over the numbers and lines two or three times on some colors to hide them. But overall, I enjoyed painting it.

Fun. Love painting, and usually use FreshPaint on my Lenovo, but this time decided to try the "real thing", and it's amusingly comforting and relaxing. Will update with the final picture when I complete it!
Tip: don't open all paint "buckets" at once - you'll only use one color at a time, so save yourself time and save the paint from drying out.

I have never done a paint by number like this before the painting is beautiful and it comes with everything you need. It's what I look forward to doing every night to unwind. The paints are creamy and soft and the brushes are good quality everything is labeled so it's so easy to just fill it in and see the painting come to life!
