This pot is excellent in all regards; I own Zwilling ceramic pans and I know what good ceramic coating has to be like. This is good ceramic coating. This being said, for those not familiar with ceramic coating, all you need to know/do in order to enjoy it for a long time is to follow these two rules: 1.) Don't ever use olive oil, extra virgin or standard in it and 2.) use ONLY silicone or plastic spatulas. If you follow these simple guide lines, you will enjoy it for years to come. Regarding the fit on the Instant Pot, I must say it's a perfect fit and I really don't know how a reviewer complained about not fitting; maybe we are talking about different items, or his exemplar was defective; the fit is outstanding.

The pot included with the cooker is 18/8 304 stainless with an aluminum clad disk on the bottom much like decent cookware. This pot is made of thin aluminum with no thick base. It weighs more than 6 oz less than the original SS pot. The coating is ceramic which I find to be less non stick than standard Teflon non stick coating.
If you use your pot for sauteing, I think you will be disappointed in the thin/lightweight construction as it lacks even heating of the original SS pot. It would be much nicer if they took the original SS pot and applied a non stick coating to it.

If you are thinking of buying a second pot for you Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, seriously consider this one. I bought it and am so glad I did. I like the non-stick coating on it better than the pot that comes with the IP. The cleanup is so easy. However, I do use both of them. That's one of the nicest things about having two pots, you can do two batches one right after the other or you can put one pot in the fridge while using the other to cook. No down time on the IP, if you want to do several things in a row or multiple batches.

Please use your common sense when considering this item. Also when you read the poor reviews. This liner is aluminum coated with ceramic to give a nonstick performance. It cannot be all ceramic like a crock pot it would Crack under the pressure. The ceramic coating is NOT Teflon. It's ceramic which performs like nonstick agents.

I now do almost all of my cooking in my (two) instant pots. I purchased several extra stainless steel interior pots along with the tempered glass lids so that I can store my leftovers in the pots and still have extra pots for cooking. I also purchased one of these ceramic pots. I now wish that I had ordered only these ceramic pots rather than the stainless steel ones. The ceramic pots are not perfect. Sometimes food sticks to the bottom, but with far less frequency than the stainless steel pots. But here we have a product (the ceramic pots) that works much better than the stainless steel replacement pots everyone recommends and that is also far cheaper! How can this not deserve five stars? Even having already spent good money on several stainless steel pots, I'm thinking of buying several more of these ceramic ones because they work so much better. The price on these ceramic pots on Amazon seems to vary, ranging from around $15 to around $20.
