If you expect a water balloon to perform like a baseball...
Amazon Customer•February 10, 2018
...you'll be disappointed. This tripod / remote combo is what it is, and for that it's freakin' perfect! Worth the money for the remote alone. Doesn't feel like it would be up for like, say, skydiving but for static shots on a countertop or on a sidewalk, perfect! My goal ws to use this for social media posts when running/cooking and it's working just fine so far. My only frustration is that, to fit the tripod into the provided pouch, you'd have to contort the tripod into some yet-to-be-discovered shape. And for that reason, 4/5 stars. The mount fits on my Iphone 7s plus in an otterbox case but I'm pretty sure I'm maxing out the range of the mount, and I have to make sure the...ahem "grippy part" of the mount sits on the smooth plastic tab on the phone case. So far so good! *UPDATE*: Let's say you're using the remote thingy, and you get a text. you switch over to the text app and *can't get the keyboard to pop up*...*it's because the remote is on. turn off the remote and you can begin using the keyboard again.* Idk why that is, but it is. ENJOY! (PS, had this for two weeks now, still awesome.)
Was unhappy but company offered a solution

[EDIT: This was originally a 1 star review, as you can tell from the bottom part of this review. The company got in touch with me and offered either a refund or a replacement. I opted for the replacement and it was promptly sent and delivered. It is an updated version of this tripod, so the review for it will be forthcoming in the proper place. I am now giving 4 stars because while I was certainly upset about the initial product the company responded and offered viable solutions. The initial problem keeps it from being a 5-star but the customer service makes it a 4-star. Every manufacturer sends out lemons periodically, it is how they handle it that matters at that point. I hope to try the new tripod this weekend and leave a review for it at that time.]
I tried responding to an email the company sent after I purchased this but it came back as undeliverable so I am forced to give a bad review. If they respond to this I hope to update this review with something positive.
The part of the tripod in which the ball part of the mount rests is faulty. It does not secure the position so the video camera (a small Kodak Zi8, so not any bigger than a cell phone) slowly drifts during recording and you ultimately end up looking at the floor, or maybe the ceiling, sometimes the wall, but never the place you initially set up to video. The clamp part of the base has a screw type piece that just turns and turns. Serves no function, certainly does not secure the ball and thus the camera, but it does turn very nicely.
I didn't expect great quality for the price but since I intend to use it in only 2 or 3 locations, all indoors with very few camera changes, I thought this would be fine. My requirements are just about as simple and basic as can be, hold a small camera steady while making videos indoors at a desk. Yet this failed to do this basic task. Not sure what else it can be used for if not as a tripod for a small camera under nearly ideal conditions. Now I am back to square one because I trusted that a tripod would function as a tripod.

Good idea...poor quality

At first this seemed like a very nifty little tripod for my iPhone. Extremely versatile, lightweight and compact. The remote Bluetooth is the bomb. However, after very little use I wasn't able to tighten the swivel ball so the camera-phone wouldn't stay in place. Then one of the legs broke off. I'll be shopping for something sturdier to replace it with. The concept is good but not the quality.
UPDATE: Immediately following the above review, the Seller reached out and offered either an upgraded replacement or full refund. This is well after Amazons 30-day replacement policy ðŸ‘
I am going for the replacement. It shipped within 2 days and should be here in another 2.
Kudos to the Seller for being so attentive, so quickly and taking responsibility ðŸ‘
Now, we shall see if the next generation resolves the problems. Will keep you posted.

OMG! This thing is AMAZING!!!!!! I have tried the "selfie stick" and honestly I hate them! I don't think that they work very well, if at all. This though, I LOVE this thing! I love the Bluetooth fob that you can simply hide in your hand and you can't see it in the picture you are taking. I have taken so many pictures since we got this that I would have never taken before because I could never get just the right angle. We can get some family pictures that we couldn't get before because we wanted everyone included and someone always had to hold the camera (or phone). . . not anymore! This thing is also very user friendly - you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to use it! It comes in a cute little storage bag so you can keep everything together and the key fob looking Bluetooth clicker even has a thing you can attach to it to hand it around your neck if you want. I can't rave enough about this! I LOVE it! You HAVE to get one!!!!!!
Great tripod at a very affordable price!

I got this for my Samsung Galaxy S8 and it fits just fine. The design and construction of the tripod itself is sturdy and holds up well.
There is no manual however so I was perplexed when I saw 2 small components in the bag with it - no idea what they were even for, but after a little research it looks like they're for if you plan on using this with a GoPro or some such camera.
The bluetooth remote worked fine, although I wish it was able to start/stop video recordings. It's a little flimsy and almost feels like a hollow plastic shell, but does the job all the same.
I decided to see how it'd hold up after a little time and left my phone in it outside, pointing up at the clouds. The grip held well and the camera didn't budge at all. Definitely excited to use this more in the future and perfect for group photos.
