For those who do not have knowledge about this figure and it's meaning: This sculpture is a representation of the god, Ganesha (also known as Ganesa or Ganapati) is one of the most important gods in Hindu mythology and he is also worshipped in Jainism and Buddhism. Ganesha is the son of Shiva and Parvati and he is the brother of Karthikeya (or Subrahmanya), the god of war. Lord of Good Fortune who provides prosperity, fortune and success. He is the Lord of Beginnings and the Remover of Obstacles of both material and spiritual kinds. Interestingly, he also places obstacles in the path of those who need to be checked. For the Ganapatya Hindu sect, Ganesha is the most important deity. Ganesha is highly recognizable with his elephant head and human body, representing the soul (atman) and the physical (maya) respectively. He is also the patron of writers, travelers, students, commerce, and new projects (for which he removes obstacles from one's path) and is rather fond of sweets, to the slight detriment of his figure.

To simply say that this is a beautiful statue would be an understatement. This sculpture is breathtaking. The obvious detail and craftsmanship that went into designing and creating this piece really show in the finished product. Although I honestly would have liked this statue to be a bit larger than it actually is, it serves as a very striking centerpiece or small decoration for literally anywhere you'd like to place it. It also makes for a nice conversation starter, as well!

I really enjoy the "zen" and peaceful aura that the nature of the statue brings, as well as it's representation that aligns along with some of my practices as a Buddhist. It compliments the decor in my room, as well, with it being made of real sandstone. It is truly really beautiful and definitely something that I am happy with and will keep for a long time. But as I'd mentioned before, I do wished that it was a bit bigger!

I've been looking for a little statue of Ganesh for awhile to place onto my mantle. It's s symbol that I love, as I'm fairly into yoga and the culture surrounding it. I looked on Ebay, but there was nothing that seemed within my budget that met my standards. I found this one a couple of weeks ago and decided to order, since it was well priced and looked cute.

It's very small -- note my picture comparing it to my hand. However, it's really perfect for displaying in my home, as I don't want anything too big and obtrusive. The detailing and workmanship are nice, and it feels quality.

Overall, I'm very pleased.

This little sand type sculpture is simply enchanting and fits perfectly in Tommy decor. It is exactly whatbibhad hoped for

Wish I knew it was as small as it was..probably my fault 😕 But I still think it's cute!

I love this little Elephant Sculpture, It definitely adds to my living room decor. When I received it i was a bit surprised at how far the statue tips backwards as it wasn't shown well in the pictures. I was scared that the statue was going to be wobbly and easily tip over because of this, but so far it has held up well. I put of pictures of the side view so you can see how it tips back. If you feel like you are unsure if it would stand well on its own you can lean it against something to improve the sturdiness. The statue is well made it doesn't feel brittle, I expected it to feel different and I am pleased with the product so far
