Perfect Size For Extract
Sir Loyne✓ Verified Purchase•October 25, 2023
I have 8 oz jars of extract I started a year ago. I can fill one of these bottles and keep the rest going. I drop a few bean pieces in these bottles to help keep them going as well.
They're also the perfect size for sharing with other people. 10/10 would recommend.

These were a perfect size to make vanilla extract as gifts! Will be getting years to come!

useful small containers with a very medcine style vibe - I would probably choose another container for my product next time because I just really don't think these are fancy enough for the gifts i created
Great for Bourbon swapping/samples! Wish they came with labels though.

I recently started drinking bourbon and scotch ... and as any fan of bourbon knows, the good stuff is hard to find. They call it 'hunting' for a reason. So many brands to try, and when you come across a rare (or unicorn) bottle, it's quite a good day. My friends and I will often mention which bourbons we found on our travels and always said, "Next time you come over, you'll have to try it." These bottles make it easy to put an ounce or two into each bottle and trade or swap bourbon.
It's very helpful to me because at $40 - $150 per bottle, it's always good to try a sample first before buying the bottle. If my friend gets a 'new favourite' ... he/she can then give me a small sample to try before I go out and buy that bottle. It makes it really fun because giving friends samples of the rare stuff I find really makes them happy. For purely selfish reasons, this makes sense as well because as bourbon gets exposed to air, it gets even better ... so the first 1/4 of the bottle won't taste as good as the last 3/4, so giving out samples gets you closer to the good stuff!
Another thing we are planning to do is a bourbon tasting. One of us will buy a few bottles, distribute those into these sample bottles and then mail them out (via ground delivery) to everyone. We will get together on Zoom and do a tasting together. This way, nobody has to buy a full bottle to participate and we can all be assured to have the same ones to taste.
The bottles are well made ... the brown colour gives them an old-timey look, which is cool. More so, it will protect the bourbon from light, which does not do great things to bourbon or scotch. The caps screw on pretty tight ... don't twist too hard as they are plastic and I'd imagine that the threads can strip. I haven't had one leak yet. The only thing I don't like is that they don't include labels ... you have to label the bottle and finding the perfect size label isn't as easy as one would think.
Overall, you'll use these more than you think! They are also great for travelling when you don't want to bring a whole bottle ... or, you want to try a few different whiskies and don't want multiple bottles. I have not seen these available at any of the liquor or craft stores and they come shipped in a sturdy box ... mine arrived in tact. These are perfect for my needs and a good quality. I'd recommend them. I am sure they have craft uses as well but for the bourbon/whiskey connoisseur ... you NEED these!

Good value.

These bottles are a good value. You have to tighten pretty well to keep them from leaking. One cap came broken. Besides that they are a good small bottle.
