Use this to solder small parts on your electronic components
Truewarrior•October 22, 2017
I fix my own Phones and sit in a corner with a table lamp. I use this table lamp and a big magnifying glass to solder the parts. This really puts a strain on my eyes and have to take a break from time to time. Now I use this digital microscope to do check small parts, adjust focus and solder minuscule parts. Adding this also reduces the footprint. My strain on my eyes are reduced and I am more productive. I can now even take snapshots of the parts and use it for my documentation. I love this microscope and recommend it.

Great for the price, usable for surface-mount soldering.
GREAT for kids - great budget microscope

Boy have my kids and I enjoyed this microscope. It's small, light, & easy to carry and break down. I could easily take my kids to a river and test pH, take samples, and look under the microscope with them all in one go. I could even set it up on a tablet, one could also bring a cut of plexiglass or something else smooth. The menu is pretty self-explanatory, not a lot of instructions, but they're not really needed. You just need to look around.
I like that the intensity of light can be adjusted. I love that the included charger is USB friendly, I can use my power bank if I don't have batteries on hand, which is also nice for portable use.
Someone else already explained that the settings allow for 0x 2x and 4x magnification, but moving an object closer can get a closer image as well. After fiddling with the adjustments I found I could even turn the screen sideways at an angle to get a 'portrait' shot. I noticed another reviewer had trouble with the mount, but I didn't really. I had to be sure the suction cup was clean and had to be careful to not knock of the top - it doesn't click in really really securely, but I think it's very reasonable especially at this price point and for being portable/easy to disassemble.
The images are great - I still need to buy a mini-SD card, so my photos may not show how great the image really is. You can also record video, which is neat and may come in handy for science fairs or class reports.

This is freaking awesome. Records images and video on a micro-SD card

This is freaking awesome. Records images and video on a micro-SD card. Image quality is great. It's a ton of fun with the kids, too. We found microprinting on dollar bills, checked out bugs in a whole new way, and found pollen and amazing details on a flower from the garden. Kept my 3 year old entertained for over an hour (which is dang near impossible to do!). It's totally portable and rechargeable as well, so we can take it outside and look at stuff without destroying it (although focusing may be tough if we're trying to use it without mounting it to a solid surface). Speaking of mounting it, the suction cup is the best one I've ever seen on anything. It took serious force to pull it off the counter.
My daughter loves it.

A good tool for science education! This microscope is awesome...works wonderfully...easy to use, so fun to look at things under it and be able to take videos and save them onto computer to share and remember.
