Definitely get a size that you wear in regular underwear or pants. These are not speedos so you don't need to go a size up. The smalls fit perfectly, the mediums were too big. The inside where the bikini portion is a little uncomfortable and not as stretchy as the shorts but still a great deal overall. I'm satisfied

These short shorts are not for the faint of heart. I'd classify them more as clubwear than swimwear- I have Speedos that are more modest. Still, I have to say they look sexy and are fun- and as mentioned above they meet the main requirement- my wife likes them on me.

Because of the Asian size thing, I ordered the XXL size (I'm about a 35-36" waist). I probably could have ordered XL. The fabric stretches and seems to be pretty forgiving. It does show off muscles and man bulges. I have muscular legs however the suit legs seem to be loose.The lining doesn't offer much support, so that might be a problem. It might be better to wear trunks (bikinis) underneath to hold your stuff in. All in all, so far so good; the wife likes them and I will be ordering other colors (maybe a size smaller). I wish sizing would be more reliable. (that's why the 4 stars).
