A nice plug and play DJI original camera

Not easiest install, but for the amount of a new drone versus repairing this, it was worth it. I was able to pull off the hood after awhile and the rest was plug and play. Comes in package from DJI and has the rubber bands and plastic part that holds the camera. Exactly what i needed. so full send.
Real replacement part. Don't be intimidated with do-it-yourself repair.

UPDATE: The gimbal has gone crazy (I thought the drone was falling out of the sky for sec) twice. It happens during flight, flipping back and forth. I do a gimbal auto-calibrate and then it's fine. It has only happened twice. I'm keeping my 5-star review up though, because I'm not entirely convinced that the camera is at fault. Mavics are incredibly buggy to begin (just bought a Phantom 4 Pro that came with a bad charger), always needing to adjust this or that, update firmware, or whatever. It appears to be a genuine DJI part anyway.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I half-expected this to be some cheap knock-off, but by all appearances it's genuine DJI. It comes in a package with the DJI logo and also little DJI stickers on the camera itself. There is an awesome how-to video on youtube (you'll find it) and though it was intimidating to start unscrewing things and disconnecting connectors, it really wasn't that bad. It probably took me about 20 minutes and I was really careful and thorough. I just took it out for the maiden flight and camera operates fine. I'll update if it starts having problems or if the quality is lower, but all-in-all, I'm glad that I tackled this project instead of sending it in to DJI. Plus, now I feel confident enough in further repairs, which makes me have a little more fun with the drone, knowing that I could probably fix most things.

Pricy, but it just works!

I had trouble spending this much coin on this, but if you scour the web you will see that people who replace their ribbon cables and/or video cables it seems to be a crap shoot wether or not you will get a working gimbal, plus they are a PITA to change. Seems like half the people had failure when they changed their own. Plus there is a bunch of knock off junk out there so you will never know if it was the part or your installation.
I bought this with the mindset that since its prime ill just send it back if it didn't work, but it did work and it took only 5 minutes to swap out. All this did was teach me to be more careful where I fly my drone, and watch for those wizard of oz trees that grab my drone when I get too close.
Oh, it came in a static bag that said genuine DJI parts! At least the lube was a name brand :)

Relieved my headaches with this drone

Bought my mavic pro on ebay i knew I would at the very least had to replace the ribbon cable which ended up not working so i switched out the video cable(still didnt work) finally decided to pull the trigger and get a whole new gimbal turns out to be the best decision i made. As soon as i turned on the drone everything started working again. Only took me less than 7 minutes to install. Thanks!
Fairly easy to replace with patience and care

Very expensive product. But cheaper than buying a new Mavic, right?
I was watching a Youtube video of how to install it, and it worked great!!
I couldnt paste a link so just simply search on Youtube "How to install Mavic Pro gimbal", view it patiently. Do it carefully and make sure your hands are clean and dry.
Short and to the point. Really wasnt a big deal. But be very careful with the cable! And order the right tool kit. I got mine for about 14$
Good luck!!
