Easy to use

Works as advertised. Just apply and buff out. Makes a world of difference. Work it for the price of the product.
Looks great! 45 minutes for both lens from start to cleanup, including prep.

I was pleased with the ease of use, and obviously the result. Granted these lens were not in horrible shape, but I was still impressed with the overall result. I wouldn't compare it to a good three step restoration, but the value for the price and time is excellent.

Most important is the safety factor. I was pulled up to a fence in the daylight, and I compared the brilliance after restoring the first lens. Even in daylight the restored headlight was significantly brighter.

Note: It stands to reason there would be a slight abrasive component in this product, so masking is important. It's effect on paint will be different from plastic.
I like

You never know which car you're going to keep... I used to get a new car every 12 - 24 months simply because they'd hold their value so well I could easily trade in with little or no hassle. Then I grew up and ended up keeping the car I didn't expect-- the one with the big engine, but not the leather and not the Bose radio... but I kept it and paid it off and it's been reliable. And then come the hazing headlights...

It's the first car I had hazing headlights and I've been through SEVERAL products in the last couple years... most of the products had some level of effectiveness but yellowed or hazed over again within a year... especially the ones that had a crystal clear coat to spray on at the end-- which made them look most like new-- but lasted the least long.

That's where this great product comes in. Again, I've used Meguiar's Plasti-X, several specific products intended to fine grit sand and polish and clear coat.... and what I had on there was a clean coat with a Meguiar's clear coat. It had yellowed after a year.

I didn't expect this product-- which is more like a Plasti-X than a grit kit with a sander for your drill-- to work-- but IT DID. Unbelievable. It was like a chemical peel for what I had put on previously and the sanding job underneath was perfect. I was able to get away with minimal work investment, maximum results-- even with a yellowed coat of overspray from my last attempt. I am more pleased with this outcome than I was with what I ended up with a year or two ago.

While the product itself seems very similar in texture, smell and application to Plasti-X, the effectiveness seemed much higher. I was able to use the product on all four corners and was able to get the bright, clean, squeaky result.

I am new to Chemical Guys products within the last year and I now have several and I have been nothing but completely pleased by them.... except that one metal polish product that arrived unsealed and looking like a cake baking disaster in the box... but I'll forgive that one and blame... bad packaging.

Fully recommended.
Decent one step process

I've used the kits that require sanding with different grades, then polishing the lens out. Pretty good results, but a lot of work. I decided to try this one and I'm fairly happy with the results. I bought a set of foam pads that go on an arbor to use with a drill. It could be done by hand as well if you done own a drill, but if you've got one, it's much easier.

As for results, it's not perfect and it won't take out heavy scratches like you can with the multiple sanding process, but if you've mostly got clouding, I would recommend this product. It is much easier to use and is way more cost effective. A sanding kit is pretty much one and done, you get enough to do maybe 2 vehicles. This bottle and a pack of around 12 pads with 2 arbors will last me forever and the cost is comparable.

If your lights are heavily scratched, you may want to do the multiple step process first, then buy this to maintain your headlights. You could use this every few months to maintain great headlights.
