The "top" is much smaller than the advertising would like you to believe. Even the package dimensions are significantly smaller than indicated. The top measures less than 1 inch in diameter and 1 1/2" from tip to bottom. I was never able to get any spin on it without it falling over. "Neverspin" would be more accurate. The price is outrageous for all the more you receive.
So much fun if you like tops

So much fun if you like tops! The tungsten is the most challenging to spin as its twice as heavy as the average one. I found the titanium had the best "ease of spinning to length of spin ratio". The Magnesium is 1/10 the weight of the Tungsten and the easiest to spin (even easy upside down). However it also feels unsubstantial - still fun to have for the contrast! Bronze is between the titanium in the ease of spin to length of spin ratio! Beautiful to look at!
Solid, but maybe not copper

Great tops, but overpriced. I got the copper as a gift and copper is a softer metal on the scale and its gotten dinged up and is no longer perfectly balanced. Still spins quite a while and upside down spins are great with this brand top.

Forever spin, do you have a sharpener of sorts that would allow a user to re-profile the points?

If this is the tungsten top that you mean, I would say that it its a challenge to spin and a lot of fun to try. After hundreds of practice tries, I think that I have mastered this baby! Tungsten is freaky and very heavy and doesn't respond to a spin the way other tops made of lighter metals do. It is my most interesting and most used top...
Good and Bad

The Good
It is a thing of beauty, nicely crafted
Nicely packaged in nice box with cloth bag and polishing cloth
The Bad
It certainly doesn't spin forever. Due to it's small size (only about an inch from top to bottom) and narrow spinning stalk, it is difficult to spin it. The best I could get was 45 seconds on a table and 90 seconds on the spinning surface that they make for it.
It's a lot of money for something that doesn't do anything but spin around for a little bit.

After having this for a couple of months, I have upgraded my rating from 3 starts to 4 stars. I takes a bit of practice, but after a while you get better at spinning this thing. I can now get 3 minutes on the glass eliptical spinning base made for it. When it's spinning well, it appears to be motionless with no apparent wobble, which is a bit magical. I still think it's overpriced, however.
