The wicks are very cheap...
Divi•July 29, 2018
The wicks burn WAY too quickly. I experimented with lengths to test to see if I had just cut them too short, but that was not the case. The wicks burn super quickly and burn them selves out after about 5 minutes of burn time. The wick aligner works fine. The stickers are great. The wicks suck. They also go limp once they touch the hot wax?? You have to secure them or else you'll be holding them to straighten them while you wait for the wax to dry...
and these EricX wicks are the only ones that soot like this. They might be best used with paraffin ...

I've tried these wicks on several of my handmade Soy candles, and the results are give and take. On some candles, mostly ones with single wicks that have been dyed with color, they are OK. However with candles that are either undyed or double wicked, the candle fills with soot and turns a dark gray when burned. I've tested several identical candles with different brands and models of wicks, and these EricX wicks are the only ones that soot like this. They might be best used with paraffin wax instead of soy, not sure.
LOTS of smoke, but otherwise good

Item as described. Unlike other reviews, I don't think these wicks are flimsy at all. Also, if you don't think the holder works well, you aren't using it correctly. You don't just put the wick through the large hole "“ you're supposed to wedge it into the notch. The stickers to hold the wicks down are also fairly strong (I was impressed).
BUT.
These things smoke like CRAZY. I wish I'd tested one before making a candle out of them. Billows of black smoke like you wouldn't believe. Would not recommend for that reason.

One package of wicks helped me recycle years of old candle parts into brand new candles

I used these wicks in a batch of candles that I made from leftovers of other candles. For just the cost of these wicks, and the time it took to sort colors and melt down old candle bits, I made several big new candles in the glass containers I'd saved from old ones over the years. I like being able to recycle things into truly useful items, for only a few dollars in supplies.
They have all burned great - no problems with them going out or not lighting easily.
These are thin wicks - only large enough for melting a 3 or 4 inch diameter- so if you're making a candle with a wider diameter then you should put two or more wicks in it, depending on the diameter of the container, and space the wicks up to 5 or 6 inches apart.
The centering device is convenient, as long as the mouth of your container isn't too wide for it (in which case you can improvise with something longer, like a pair of scissors opened across the top of the container, or some tied-together chop sticks.) The centering device is only long enough to span something with the diameter of a peanut butter jar or so.

Stickers great, Wicks bad, holder meh

The stickers are awesome! Strongly recommend, they make securing the candle to the bottom of the candle holder (in my case a tea cup) much easier. However, the WICKS ARE HORRIBLE. I had already made 20 tea cup candles using a different brand wick with no major issues. Made 10 more last night using these wicks and as soon as the soy wax was poured in, the wicks went limp like wet noodles and would not "stand" straight unless pulled straight. Do not recommend.. As for the wick holder... the concept is good, the hole you feed the wick through was larger than the wick and because the wick kept getting the bends in the wax it was useless for holding the wick up. I used lots of scotch tape instead.
