These were definitely on the stale side, they were for a candy buffet at a first birthday party so I put them out anyways and the kids didn't seem to mind, but I would concur with all the other reviews about the staleness. They still tasted fine though, just a little tough.

If you have never had Swedish fish, you must be under 40 yrs old lOL ;) We bought them for a penny a piece at the penny candy store back in the 60s. The fish have gotten very tiny but still taste great. Not health food for sure but a great little treat
