I just can't get them on the chairs......

Having a terrible time putting them on the legs of my chairs. Even a hammer won't work. Bought the 1 1/4 size and they just fell off, too little. So I bought these. No matter how I measured the inside of the leg it still didn't come out right. Wish they made a 1 3/8 size. This is so frustrating. However I will say they are well made and sturdy. Will keep legs from leaving rust marks on deck or patio.
Didn't work for my chairs

With a calipers, I measured my wrought iron chair's metal cup openings at 1.47" so I thought these 1.5" slides should work. But I was wrong. It was impossible to get these glides on. I even tried softening them in hot water and that didn't help. I ended up cutting (4) small equidistant slots into the sides of these glides which finally allowed me to get these on. So I would recommend that you make sure you cup's opening is greater than 1.47" otherwise you may struggle like I did.
Very happy with these

I was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews about these not fitting but I shouldn't have been. These popped into place with a rubber mallet with no trouble. I didn't have to do anything else but follow the manufacturers directions for a perfect fit. Very happy and the shipping was super fast along with great communication after the sale. I would buy from this company again.
Worked. Beautifully!

These deluxe chair glides worked beautifully! The day was a little bit warm, so they were softened. This helped the installation tremendously. Other than the legs that were completely rusted out, these went in very easily. I used a screwdriver to remove the debris, and then 1 to 3 whacks with a soft mallet, and they were securely installed.
For the rusted out legs, I used pliers to straighten out the chair feet as best I could, and added quite a lot of outdoor adhesive to help secure them.

We needed these to replace worn out and missing pads on our patio furniture. Keeps the deck free of dings and dents from the metal feet penetrating the wood.
Although they do fit snuggly when gently hammered in with a mallet, we went ahead and used an indoor outdoor adhesive to secure them as the replacements we purchased last year came loose over time. Probably due to temperature fluctuations and stress on them.
