Beautiful and Strong!

I LOVE THIS!!! It looks exactly as pictured. I got the polished copper and wont worry if it tarnishes, it will add character. Its heavier then I expected and I didnt realize the handle is brass and wood! This is great because you can pick it up directly after boiling and no burns! I also like the spouts design. It pours where you expect and stops pouring the second you lift up. The spout is small so it pours a bit slowly. Also, I only got this kettle yesterday so I cant speak to longevity, however it is very well constructed so I expect it to last a very long time. I really love my beautiful new Turkish Copper Kettle!!! Should have got this along time ago!!!
Attractive teapot

I got the antiqued copper finish, and I love this kettle. I use it on a gas stove, and no, it doesn't whistle, but it boils water fast; even though I use it daily, I've never forgotten it on the stove. Really though, it's great to look at, between the ornate spout and hammered copper sides. My only complaint is that the lid will fall off if you attempt to pour the last bit of water out, so I usually hold the lid on with a hand towel while I'm pouring. Some of the finish on the wooden handle came off on my hands the first several times I used it, but since it's been worn in that hasn't been a problem.
Beautifully designed.

We love this copper teapot, the shine and especially the detailed spout are beautiful. The handle being wood is perfect, it doesnt get hot when heating water. Just so you know, the sheen will change the more it is used as copper does change. The only thing that some may find a disadvantage is there is no whistle to let you know the water is boiling.

I'm really not sure how to rate this tea kettle. It is made really well. Very solid. Mine though changed color, purplish when it heated up. The seller was fantastic and accepted return but I believed this kettle was so beautiful I reordered one. I keep the flame down when heating water and so far, so good. I get many compliments on how beautiful it is.
but in the pictures it looked like there were brush strokes to achieve that effect

We got the bright copper tea kettle WITHOUT the wooden handle a couple of weeks ago. We've boiled milk for hot chocolate a few times, and water for tea a few times. I'd considered getting the pre-tarnished one, but in the pictures it looked like there were brush strokes to achieve that effect, so I decided to let it tarnish on its own. This is the shiniest thing in my '40s house--everything else is old nickel (knobs and such) or tarnished brass or iron. However, I'm not a stickler about not mixing metals--this is beautiful, and very well-made. Several people have commented that they've had the misfortune of getting one that leaked. I've read A LOT of reviews of different tea kettles, and that is the number one complaint for ALL of them, no matter the type. I plan to use J-B weld to repair it if that ever happens, which is an easy fix, especially considering we no longer have tinkers (tin smiths) traveling around village to village fixing our pots. J-B Weld has a slightly higher melting point than tin, which is what lines copper pots, so it is fine to use for a vessel that boils water. In short, this is beautiful right now, and I expect it to look like a family heirloom in a few years, as long as I can resist from polishing it too much.
