Too easy for smart dog.

Cute toy. I was afraid it was going to be too small for my Boxer/Lab mix (75lbs) but it was okay. Wouldn't be appropriate for anything bigger.
To introduce her to the concept, I put a small treat under 2 of the white bones and inside 2 of the red boxes. I tried to show her how it worked, but she wasn't interested. She came back to check it out a few minutes later on her own. She figured out how to remove the white bones and open and close the red boxes in just a few seconds
Not sure how long this puzzle toy will keep her entertained, but I'm hoping for at least a little peace in the evenings.
As for quality, it is of sturdy plastic. The lids don't stay shut on the red boxes and the white bones don't fit into their spots as well as they should.

A lot of positive reinforcement the first few times helps with mental blocks.

Loved this product! Kept the pup entertained for longer than other toys. Helped build up her confidence and co ordination . We used training treats, dog biscuits and frozen water & fruit.
If your dog needs a brain game, this is it!

My 1 1/2 year old Japanese Chin loves this toy!! He seemed to get bored of playing catch or getting the ball so we decided to get him some brain games to keep him busy. We sometimes put treats in it but mostly just his dog food so he doesn't get an upset stomach! He occasionally will try to chew on one of the bones that come out but they're pretty durable. Just make sure to watch your pup when he's playing with this and it should be fine! I've had it for about a month now and I use it consistently!
My dog loves it and its a good activity of active dogs.

My dog loves this. He is a very active puppy and it occupies some of his time. Surprisingly, he learned how to get into all of the compartments very quickly, but still loves the challenge of finding his treats. Usually, I put little treats in only some of the compartments, so he has to do some searching. It also allows me to use it more often without concern that he will eat too many goodies.
Newly Purchased Puzzle Pleases Pooch!

Bar none, the brick puzzle is thee best toy/treat/activity item I have ever, ever purchased for my 9 1/2 lb Yorkie. Piper is totally food motivated; willful, stubborn, and way too smart! This puzzle is a perfect size, extremely durable (believe me, Pipe beats the s%#* out of it), just difficult enough to keep her attention and desire, but not so much as to frustrate her. For months and months I've contemplated getting a puzzle , but couldn't decide which one or the correct level of difficulty. I went back to a review I'd read by lovetodream88, viewed video of her Yorkie w/brick and placed order. I hope to help out others by saying the Outward Hound Dog Brick Treat...is the puzzle you want right now! It works--whoda thunk?! But again, money very well spent and I will be watching for what comes next in puzzles.
