worked like a charm
Ivan•February 6, 2018
bought this as a replacement for another HDMI to RJ45 adapter I bought, which I thought was defective. I thought this one was defective too, until I realized I didn't know what I was doing. These adapters need both ports wired to each other, so two fully wired RJ45 connections on each side. Once I wired it correctly, worked like a charm.
I like this style of adapter better than the bulky block that hangs from the HDMI port. I think this style with the "jumper" wire lets you secure it a little better, especially if you mount your TV super close to the wall.
