Simply Beautiful

I received 2 leather barrettes with three pins (sticks). Awesome. Perfect. Beautiful. The leather is thick enough to hold its shape and thin enough to have just the right curve. The leather stamp was deep and the stain was cleanly applied. The sides and back were clean of stain. There was no lingering leather or stain odor. I've used these barrettes nearly every day and they look like new. I was looking for the same barrettes I used in the 1970s and these are IT!!!!
The sticks are hard to push through.

The sticks are hard to get in and out, catching some strands of hair in the process (so I use sticks from other barretts).
I needed a band to secure my hair, because these are a bit too large for thinner hair without using a band for the stick to go through (ponytail, twist, secure barrett w/ stick).
Stiff. I do like the pattern though.

These are great! I absolutely love them. Tip: to get them to not slide down your ponytail, make sure the stick is just above the rubber band or whatever tie you use. The width of the leather will cover the tie/band.
Not for thicker hair

These are nicely made hair barrettes but only for those with thin hair. I am unable to wear them with my medium hair type. Some of the reviews mentioned they work on thick hair. They do not. I would not buy these unless your hair is on the thinner side. I had ones years ago when my hair was still very thick. Wish these were like my old ones. I thought that with my hair thinning as I age they would fit. Too bad. I hoped they would be ok. Other than that they are very nice barrettes.
I would give six stars if I could!

This is exactly what I was looking for! Now I can quickly put my hair in a ponytail, slip on a barrette, and look put together to leave the house. I am so impressed with Tom and Bev: they sent an extra stick, plus a cute key fob that I would have actually purchased! When's the last time a vendor treated you like that? I am an extremely satisfied customer!
