Looks very nice, easy to build, but VERY FRAGILE
Thala✓ Verified Purchase•August 26, 2018
This is very nice. It's exactly what I needed. It took my cat a little while to figure out how to use it (I left the doors open until I was certain she understood. Then I closed one door and left the other open. When I was certain that she had figured it out I was then able to close both doors).
Now the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, because appearance and size wise it really really does fit exactly what I needed and wanted.
But my issue is what I learned when I opened the package. I know that this is recycled "zBoard"... but I was under the impression from the comparison photos that it would be comparable, no, BETTER than typical particleboard or other products. But that's where I was wrong and I'm kind of disappointed by the price point. I was expecting something MUCH sturdier, but this stuff is literally just "strong" cardboard... literally. I put strong in quotes because it's only strong as far as cardboard goes. It's sturdy enough to put stuff on top of it (even me sitting on it... I'm 140lbs) and it's totally fine. But the issue is that cardboard CANNOT get wet. Now remember y'all... this is a hide for a litter box... and cats pee. Now if your cat doesn't have totally perfect aim 100% of the time, and the box gets wet... well, let's just hope that you notice it quick enough otherwise your box will get ruined REALLY fast.
Not only that, but the paper coating stuff that's on the outside (the white wallpaper-like stuff) is very fragile. The edge of the frame at the bottom of the doors, where you pull the box out, I noticed within DAYS of getting it that it was getting worn away.
If the price point was HALF this, I would definitely have given 5 stars because it really does do what you want. And you can't keep a litter box FOREVER when it's made from natural materials (even real wood). It's going to break down eventually, I get that. But the rate at which this thing is getting ruined, and with how careful I've been with it, I'm really disappointed with how much I spent. Would not purchase again, honestly probably not even if the price point went down because there's much sturdier stuff out there. But if you want something that you can use for like a year and replace, this is the item for you.
I'm actually not mad about it because I move out next March and that's one less thing I have to move out with me LOL

Basic and lightweight
Reland✓ Verified Purchase•July 6, 2018
Not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. The product is lightweight because it is paper covered cardboard held together with dowels and tape. So far, it is serving the purpose I intended. I use it to house my cats food. The half wall keeps our large dog out of the food. The cats seem to like it and just needed to be shown 1 time where the food is located. I'm glad I purchased a separate cabinet to house the litter box as I'm not sure how well this cabinet would hold up to any type of moisture. I keep the water on the floor outside of the cabinet. I had one issue during assembly when I put one side panel on upside down. The panels only fit together one way so I would recommend test fitting before removing the paper strip from the tape. Total assembly time was 20 minutes max, including remedying my mistake. I think I like this product but will hold off on final judgment until we have used it for awhile.
Better as a bed NOT for litter
McJohns✓ Verified Purchase•June 27, 2018
I like the idea of a discrete litter box but this one is made of paper and held together with tape. Paper and cat pee just don't go together. The design is great (although it could use some vents) but the material is not. I ordered the white one but used contact paper, caulk, and clear spray paint (bad choice to use over contact paper as it curled when I sprayed it) to protect it. It is made out of paper and is very easily dented. I tried adding feet with furniture leg brackets so it could be at window level but, as I said, it's made out of paper. When the legs fall off (one has already bcuz the paper cant hold the screws) I will just use glue. And if the glue fails, i might as well built my own box using this one as a template. Also, it looks like a bench so guest want to sit on it. Its embarrassing for me & offensive to my guest to have to say "get up your too heavy to sit on that!" After I did my best to make it resistent to liquid damage, I put the cat litter pan I got from walmart inside on top of a litter catch mat.
I paid $82 and had to make at least $20 of modifications to use it as a litter box. It should only be $30 max bcuz it is paper. Worst case, I'll use it as a template to build my own box. It's a nice design but is not a good choice for a litter box. The one thing that is great is the corrugated litter trap board. That works great but I'm not sure how long it will last. It's already dented and smashed on the corners and its paper, so if it gets soiled, it's garbage (or recycling?).

Soaks up Urine!
Jeff A.✓ Verified Purchase•June 16, 2018
Once a cat misses the corner of the litter box the material pretty well turns to paper mache. Had to throw away because it soaked into the product and couldn't return due to animal urine in it.
Don't buy

After the manufacterer sent me the wrong product, I was happy once I assembled this. My cats used this for a few month, and it seemed to be going well. Then, a foul odor was coming from it even after I wiped it out. I then moved it off the wall gently to clean it, and it completely fell apart. Also, the covering wiped off almost instantly when I gently cleaned it. The cat urine was absorbed by this. Also, it holds a very small litter box.
