Almost Heinz

I love ketchup, especially Heinz, but I'm allergic to onion and nearly all ketchups have onion or onion powder in them. I've tried various non-onion brands, like Mother's Mountain, but they are not even close to the real thing. But Fody is good. It isn't Heinz, but it does have much of the "zing" that Heinz gives. I wonder how it would do in a blind taste test -- and I wouldn't bet that Fody would come out second.
Hmm, good for some not for all.

I think it taste fantastic, but, I give it three stars for the fact that I can only somewhat handle it. I put a fingertip sized smear on my food and I can feel it affecting me in little ways. I must be more low fodmap than I thought, either that or they've changed the recipe, because I was under the impression that it was only crushed tomatoes not spices and whanot.

Because I react to onions and my husband reacts to garlic, we had to take ketchup out of our diet. It was tough. Now, the ability to add it back is a great blessing. Thank you FODY.

Is this ketchup worth $10? Probably not, but it is convenient and keeps longer than homemade ketchup. Also, it doesn't give me gut issues which is a bonus. I have no issues with the flavor as some other reviewers do. I will say it doesn't taste like Heinz and if you are looking for a Heinz 1:1 replacement then look elsewhere or make your own. This ketchup reminds me of the ketchup I ate when I lived in South africa... I think the brand was All Gold. Overall, this is a decent product and I will keep ordering it.

It is the best ketchup I have ever jad and no belly ache from it! Need to find a store that carries it locally because 10.00 a bottle a way to much for this!
