Works like a charm!

As we get older tying those small hooks get to be a severe pain in the.. well you know. Anyways. I picked up a set of these to try out thinking it would be one of those "As seen on TV " type deals that look good but work like crap. To my surprise it works great! I mean tying a hook is super simple. No more dealing with feeding a small line through an eye just to have it not actually make it through. It holds the hook for you while you concentrate on getting the line to go where it needs to. If you are like me and tying knots is getting harder with age this is a great tool. The added fact it also can be used to attached a bare hook to your pole keeping it from grabbing the car interior is a plus. Overall a great product that really surprised me and well worth the money. Grab a 2 pack and share with a friend!
I'll just use it as a holder

The plastic inside broke while trying with 20lb mono. I don't think I have a strength of Hulk Hogan...

I know! It's hard to believe but the hook tieing gizmo actually works! I'm about to order the large size as well. 5 stars now due to seller feed back! Seems that if you slip the ring over your ring finger and squeeze the lid between your thumb and forefinger it is much easier to open. This was passed on to me buy the Seller. If you don't do this the thing is VERY hard to open. Go ahead, order one (2 pack) and try it out. They work!
And it appears the Seller reads these reviews also. I believe they want to give us the best product possible.

Once you get the hang of it, this is an amazingly simple, but elegant, solution for an old fisherman trying to tie on small hooks and jigs. The only thing it won't do is guarantee catching fish. I would advise watching the videos on the company's web site, Facebook page or Youtube channel to see just how its done.
I had a lot of difficulty opening the units, but an email to the company brought a quick reply from the inventor explaining that the small tab inside could bent with a small pair of pliers to adjust the force required to open it. It worked.

this little invention is awesome! my dad is getting older and has a hard time with the knots in his fishing line. these help so he at least has something to hold onto besides a swivel or a razor sharp hook. The added bonus of a line cutter is also pretty great. I find myself using them just as much as Dad does!
