Tools broke and didn’t work, battery was puffy

This kit is worthless. The tools broke as soon as I tried them. Once I got the iPod apart the batter was puffy and doesn't fit well. I believe the battery is bad. I guess that's he risk of LiPo batteries. I'd recommend you keep looking for a better solution.

After my 120gb ipod classic finally died on me, I decided to try replacing the battery myself with the DOCA replacement battery. This is a super easy install, with the exception of actually getting the iPod casing apart. For that, I had to use a razorblade, putty knife, and pliers. It's a pain, and I simply don't see a way to do it without damaging the casing a bit, but it bends so you can get it more or less back to shape. As other reviews have noted, the plastic tools this kit comes with are worthless and will break almost immediately, for that I docked 1 star. Overall, very satisfied!

Brought my 10 year old Ipod back to life. One minor issue, this battery is "slightly" larger than the original, I needed to cut away some of the tape on the battery to make it squeeze in to place. Once done, Ipod went back together no problem.
