I rather foolishly bought a wonderful coffee machine in Germany (240v) without thinking how I was going to use it in the US (110v)! I looked around a lot at big ugly black boxes for more money, and then found this! The questions and answers section gave a lot of examples of people using it for similar appliance, so I knew I finally found the solution. It can handle the 2000 watt coffee machine which is now working beautifully! It cost almost as much as the machine, but it is worth it as there is a very sentimental element to the story of how I came to buy the coffee machine to begin with.

We moved the USA and I got this for our Thermomix which draws up to 1500 watts. I wanted a Toroidal Transformer (which this is) and I was very surprised by how small it was (for something rated up to 2400 watts). No issues. Australian appliances plug right in with no adaptors.

Works great. Plug & play, no problems. I'd give it 5 stars if it had more than 2 plugs on it..... or if the 2 plugs were on the same side. As it is, it's a T with the plugs on opposite sides, so it kinda takes an assuming place on your desk, rather than a functional place on the floor in the corner where it belongs.
