THE PEDALS WORKED OUT JUST FINE.
Pedals fit a 15mm pedal size so buyer has to use the adapters.

It is better than the OEM pedals that come with Schwinn Mountain Bikes but wish the pedals came in two sizes rather than with adapters. Also, the adapters are described as 9/16" but are also 15mm and it would be easier on buyers for Schwinn to advertise that the adapters fit 15mm. My Schwinn did not come with any documentation which indicated the size of the pedals so buying pedals was guesswork and I bought the Schwinns because I knew that with the adapters, I would get a fit but most bike pedals today are either 15mm or 19mm so if Schwinn should forget the 1/2" and focus on 15mm.
