I used these diffusers in two cabinet light installations. The channels are easy to cut. I used a grinder but a hack saw, circular saw, or chop saw would work well too. On one of the installations, I used double sided adhesive tape to secure the channels under the cabinets and used about a 1" piece about every 6 inches and that was plenty to secure the channels. On the second installation, I used the clips that were included with channels, and those were even better.

I was initially going to return these because an unaltered Phillips HUE light strip does not fit in the channel. In order to get it to fit you have to (gingerly) remove the strip from the soft plastic channel that it comes in. I used a small scissors and slid it up the sheathing without having to do much actual cutting. After that I carefully peeled it open, removed the light strip, and trimmed around the area where the cord connects to the strip. It sounds like a lot of work but it took two minutes. After that it fits perfectly in the channel!!

To trim the channel and diffuser cover to size I used a multi-tool and it made a clean and straight cut.

I used double sided tape to affix the channel to the underside lip of my fireplace hearth and to the inside of the channel base to secure the strip. The diffuser cover then easily snapped into place.

It honestly didn't make a huge difference, but I think part of that is due to the lip of the fireplace hearth being shallow. Part of me wonders if the shallow lip issue/seeing the lights would be minimized if I used a corner channel, but mounted it so that it faced toward the fireplace.

It did help with the reflection off the wood floor and it looks like the light extends further out.

I'm planning on using the other channels under bathroom cabinets so I'm optimistic it will work a bit better there.

Exactly the way they described it on Amazon. I like it. But l wish they have given more than one corner.

I used these for kitchen kick lighting and a built in bookcase.

The aluminum channels are well made, precut to length and ends are nicely deburred. The matching diffuser covers are of a good grade of plastic that snaps in place firmly and does not seem to be brittle like son=me other brands.

Minor quibble was the mounting clips, they seemed weak and caused the channel too sit slightly above the surface which I did not like. I found that using the 3m double side tape I used for the LED strips, with a few of the included screws with holes I drilled in the inside of the channel worked the best.

Other than the clips, these are a great product for the price.
