Not perfect, but fully functional

My main complaint is the challenge of getting a field notes notebook into the cover. It is a super tight fit and it never quite feels right, but in the end it functions well enough. The first couple pages get dyed from the leather, but I am not bothered by this. Leather and build quality seem high.

very nice product the leather is thick and supple. you have to hold your tongue just right to get a standard field notes into the slot but they will fit, and once in there, very secure. it definitely has that quality heirloom feel to it. seller also apparently has an Etsy page where they can take custom orders. i am thinking about having them make a similar case for an odd shaped notebook i have. very pleased!

I needed a sleeve for a school project and this one is perfect! In fact, I'll probably use it for things after my finals are over. It feels nice, smells nice, and even looks good after getting a few scratches and dings in it. The stitching is impeccable as well. It's not super thick and not thin or cheap either. It bends nicely too and fits in my (female) back pocket when it has a notebook inside it.
