Great with a preamped subwoofer, the one that comes with the system finished in the trash.
Marcus Lemans•December 1, 2017
I'm not an audiophile but take in consideration that the amp has NO subwoofer preamp, the subwoofer that comes in the package is NO preamped too, in my case I had a preamped subwoofer from Polkaudio that I have connected to the amp and with this the bass is great. The subwoofer that comes with the system is totally useless, it finished in the trash.
My setup:
Front: Infinity Primus P153
Subwoofer: Polkaudio PSW110
Center and SR: The ones that come with the system
They are connected to my TV LG OLED55B7 and by Bluetooth to my tablet that has Viper4android.
With this setup I'm very pleased with the audio output, very recommended but if you don't have a preamped subwoofer, I don't recommend this system.

Not Bad for the Price

I purchased this to replace a 9YO receiver and 15YO speakers (also Onkyo--the brand has served me well). This is an adequate system for an apartment or bedroom. It will not satisfy discriminating movie lovers to be a primary home theater system. The biggest problem I have with it is that it has a passive sub-woofer. You aren't going to be rattling any windows with this kit. If you are watching regular TV or sports it is excellent. The sound is crisp and clear. If you aren't an audiophile or movie nerd, it works great.
That said, if you are trying to recreate a theater experience with your big boom pow pew pew movies you will find it lacking. I have to say the speakers don't have the warmth of my older ones, but still punch above their weight at 1/4th the size. Currently I'm fishing all the kid toys and spider eggs out of my 15YO old active sub-woofer and see if it improves. Had I paid more attention, I would have paid more for a system with an a active sub-woofer.
