We purchased four of these (some as gifts) and are very pleased with the quality. I did a lot of research on gun safes and Vaultek is top of the line. We received a great deal on black friday. My husband can fit a glock 19, clip, and a small box of ammo with room to spare. It was easy to program, the keys light up in the dark, the case springs open quickly, and the interior is lit. Very handy to have in a home with children.

Just received the safe today, so this isn't a long-term review, although I don't anticipate having any issues with this safe. First off, the packaging is really nice, which ultimately isn't hugely important to the safe itself, but it demonstrates to me that Vaultek takes pride in delivering quality to their customers. Second off, the instructions are very clear and straight forward. The safe is put together very well and feels solid. The steel cable it comes with also feels very solid. The inside is nice, dense foam that will protect valuables from scratches and damage. The keypad lights up when your fingers are about to type which is great for visibility. The safe opens quickly and quietly (beeps can be easily turned off) which I really like as well. My ONLY gripe is that I wish the interior light in the safe could be switched to light up red (like the buttons do) as that is better for preserving night vision, but ultimately that's not a huge problem. Great product, and am definitely pleased.

This product fit my needs perfectly. My XDS, with an extended mag, fits nicely with room to easily extract the weapon when needed. With solid feedback from the combination buttons, ensuring no guesswork as to whether a press was registered or not, the safe opens crisply and lighted sufficiently to get to what you need. I recommend this product, and though I hope to never need it under pressure, I'm confident it will perform as expected if I need it.

Like has been stated in earlier reviews, this safe is good for keeping little kids from accessing the contents, but won't keep a determined thief out of it. I know that it has also been written that it is Not a gun safe. Though it is said not to be one it works very well to keep my weapon in, especially at night when my little grand is over. The "sleep" feature lockout after failed attemp to access is great. And I know if I need to access the safe quickly, I can. A Good Buy.

Love this safe so far. Setup was easy and fits the two pistols I bought it for. One is a medium from Walther, the other is a sub compact Glock.
