I use it in my Lexus SC430. I change the filter once a year and use mobil1 Extended Performance High Mileage. I now put about 4k miles a year.
I used to drive the car a lot. 5 years ago I ended up driving the car for 25k miles on the same filter and oil. The oil change reminder had frozen and I never noticed. I got a check engine light and when I checked the oil level, it was fine but the oil was very black. That's when I checked the oil change reminder and realized that it had been stuck at the same mileage (something happened to the computer). I changed the oil myself. It wasn't sludgy, it wasn't took thick either, but it was pitch black and heavy. I did another oil change 3k miles later, which turned out to be as dirty at a regular 10k oil. From then on, I went on my regular schedule which is 10k miles or one year. The car's been fine since.
