Took forever (3+ months?) to get ants and when they finally came in they were dead. Told customer support about it, said they would send more, about a month in we emailed them to just cancel the order and we threw the whole thing in the garbage. Would never waste my money on anything from Uncle Milton again.

I really wanted to be able to give this 5 stars. It is an excellent product, but it does not come with the ants, which I understand. It took forever to get the ants. When I received the actual habitat, I sent off the info for the ant and all the info that comes with it, which you pay more for. I had to break down and send an email asking when we would receive our ants after approx 1 1/2 months of not getting them. I was then informed that the whole shabang I ordered was on back order and they could cancel the order minus the ants if I wanted. Which I did. I then received the ants within 2 weeks. I was really excited and followed the instructions. The ants started making their pathways and tunnels and I was tickled pink. It was such an awesome process. Then within about 4 days half the ants just up and died. Then within approximately 1 week all but like 4 ants had died. So here I am with 4 ants, and I am disappointed. I bought this for my own personal enjoyment, as a 42 year old woman, but also so my 10 yr old son could watch the process. I figured I would eventually pass it off to his school teacher so they could use it each year in different rooms to show the kids the coolness of it all. Of course, if the ants are not going to live more than a week, there is really no point in that. Anyways, that is my review. I wish it would have turned out better. I won't purchase another and I would not recommend, unless you can get ants elsewhere.

Excellent started ant farm. My son was eager to start an ant farm and we ordered this one based on reviews and we have not been disappointed. There isn't much more to say different than what others have said...so we agree! :-)

Great ant farm my boy loves it! The only problem was it took 5 months for the ants to arrive.

Pretty neat. Dirt is kind of weird and it didn't quite fill to the top well. Took forever for ants to come in mail. Some were dead and feeding off each other but made cool tunnels once we put them in their new home. Lasted a couple weeks before AZ heat killed what was left. Meet to watch them while they lived though. Gonna get more ants after summer ends. Was lhat cool she wants more pets to watch
