Wind proof, if the grip stayed on...

After my 10 year old cheap umbrella broke a few days ago, I decided to splurge on a nice replacement. Package arrived today and everything seemed fine until I tried to pull the protective cover off so I could open it up. I loosened the Velcro strap, and started to slide the cover off, and realized quickly that the hand grip was coming off instead. I pushed the grip back on, and after struggling for a second was able to remove the cover. Once opened, this item seems like it could be a decent umbrella, however, it spins freely in your hand, and a gust of wind will pull it right out of the grip.
I could attempt to glue it, but after buying the most expensive umbrella on Amazon, I'm wondering why I should have to even think about that. I am going to reach out to the seller, and manufacturer and see what can be done.
Giving single star since it is basically unusable as is.

I bought a navy blue 62" golf umbrella. I have to take the trolley or bus to work everyday, and my last umbrella was a mini umbrella that almost always flipped inside out with the slightest bit of wind. With my old mini umbrella (not a Procella umbrella), my purse would be soaked from standing outside in rain while waiting for the bus or trolley. I'm so glad I found this Procella Umbrella and look forward to using it when it rains. This Procella Umbrella feels extremely sturdy and well made. I've opened it up a few times and everything seems to work properly. It's also gigantic, which is exactly what I wanted! This should definitely keep me dry while I wait in the rain for the bus or trolley. It also doesn't look like it'll flip inside out with wind either. I love the strap to carry it with and find it useful to put over my shoulder to carry when I'm not using the umbrella.

Great umbrella. I have used the Procella Golf Umbrella in 20+ mph winds and have had no issues with the umbrella turning inside out. The umbrella has a nice rubber grip and is easy to open. The umbrella easily covers myself and two kids.

This is the best umbrella I have ever had and I've bought many. I've no doubt it's storm proof, it's so well made and out of tough material. Pops open with the touch of the button. Double Velcro to ensure a tight wrap when closed. Hard rubber tip to ward off lightning (Lol) and fits well in the golf cart stand or you hand. I will modify it but I do wish the material was bullet proof. Would I buy again? Hell yes,

Not a great parachute, but a fantastic umbrella. The construction is top-notch and I don't see this failing in kind of weather that an umbrella would be useful for. It may withstand 30+ mile and hour winds but I think you'd end up getting soaked anyway. But for everyday use this is a perfect full sized product. My only complaint is the use of Velcro for the protective sleeve and retaining straps. Velcro always wears out or gets linted over, and is a temporary solution to any problem, I am disappointed in this choice by Procella. But other than that I would recommend this to a friend, enemy, or anyone else that want's a high quality umbrella.
