Too short Les paul
Triko✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 25, 2023
That taper is amazing. Very smooth control. Use with a pickguard.
Shaft diameter fit a 2021 Epiphone Les Paul Custom but they are too short. They can fit if you bend the tabs outward but then the leads touch the cavity. That could be ok if it is not shielded. Just get the long shaft.
Work great, love these new push pulls.

Love these new style cts push pull pots. They make everything look so much cleaner and they are very smooth functioning in both turning and pushing pulling. Much nicer than the old ones.
awesome

You can't go wrong with CTS push/pull pots

That's it. That's the review. The fact that the wiring is different from other push/pull pots takes some figuring out but it's really not a problem once you get the hang of it.
Excellent push pull pots that will fit Gibson SG standards and Flying V's.

Great push-pull pots from CTS. Short shaft for SG type guitars. I can tell you it definitely doesn't fit Les Pauls with the maple tops.

Good quality and accurate. The torque is little high for my taste. They are not defective, I just prefer low-torque pots. The push pull functions without issue or noise. The shorter overall height of these allow me to install them in an SG and Flying V without problems, albeit they are snug in those types of guitars. They do fit in an Epiphone and Gibson Flying V and in Gibson SG standards. They do not fit in Gibson SG tributes (like the 50's or 60's tributes) nor do they fit in Gibson SGJ guitars. The back covers bow out a little on those instruments. If that bothers you (it bothered me) then you cannot use these pots. I ended up not using push pull pots at all on my Gibson SGJ and 50's tribute because I could not find any suitable short push pull pot.

Overall these function perfectly. They are accurate and have a good tolerance. No noise or issues using them. The side plate is a good idea to reduce the overall height. It took a little bit of experience to solder wires to the sides without messing up the pot. But complex wiring can be done using these (such as series/parallel or phase reverse). I used them mostly for coil tap.

I gave 4-stars because of the following reasons (none of which are technical problems or defects):
1) I prefer low-torque and they don't make these pots in low-torque.
2) I prefer vintage taper as opposed to log taper (30% vs 10% at half way). Its my preference to use vintage taper.

Otherwise excellent quality CTS pots that I expect will last for decades.
