Fabric Tore On Second Use, stiff and a little challenging to get on.

On the plus side, when we finally got into it my baby did really enjoy it. It got me through some tough weeks of screaming. On the downside, the fabric is pretty stiff and not very forgiving to get into place. On our second use, it tore as we were tightening it through the rings. There's a convenient pocket at the end of the fabric where it hangs, so you could put your phone or a pacifier to carry around (that was great!)- but it's where the pocket is that the item tore. It seems the pocket weakened the fabric. Didn't seem well tested to me. For the price, I don't think it was a great find. We ended up really enjoying the Bjorn carrier (for easy wear and a more structured fit), as well as the Boba Wrap (for the cozy soft option, the fabric on the Boba brand was far superior to Vlokup, Solly, or others).

I was pleasantly surprised with this ring sling as a first time mom. However, now that I've gained a little more knowledge about wearing, I have some critiques.
#1 is that the fabric is pleated at the rings, whereas nicer ring slings are gathered. A gathered one would be easier to spread the fabric on your shoulder to make carrying for longer periods more comfy for mom. This one is pleated in a way that makes it very hard to spread the fabric, and depending on the shirt I have on, it usually ends up bunching up and putting all the weight by my neck. (As shown in the photo)
#2 I wish the fabric was softer, with a little more give. After several washes (line dried per care instructions) and so much twisting/braiding it is still SO stiff. That is why so many reviewers complain it's hard to pull the fabric thru the rings to tighten.
This sling definitely gets the job done though, and is very budget friendly. We still use it, and will continue to until I can afford a nicer one. But had I known all this before I bought, I would have probably gotten the HipBaby brand one instead, for just a few extra dollars.

Material isn't very soft. The shoulder "padding" just makes the fabric get stuck so you can't tighten or loosen easily or sometimes at all. The fabric is one sided so when you put it on the pattern can't be seen just the shadow. The pocket is an awesome idea except you can't use it because it gets tucked into the rings because the tail isn't long enough to support the idea of a pocket. It does function like a ring sling if you do everything just right and aren't particular. It covers enough that you can nurse discreetly. The instruction book it comes with is informative. There is a strong toxic smell that had to be aired out. Overall just save your money and buy a better product.

I really like this sling! It was especially great when my daughter was newborn and super tiny. I loved having her so close to me all the time. I watched a few YouTube videos to learn how to use it and it's really easy to use once you get the hang of it. Now it's pretty quick to get my baby in and out. I love that it's compact and I can just throw it in my diaper bag. I've gotten so many compliments on the print too.
So now that my daughter is 3 months old, I like this carrier more for short periods of time. We use it when I pick up my older daughter from school, quick grocery store trips, or around the house. If I use it for too long then my back does start to hurt. We have an Ergo360 that we use to longer walks that distributes the weight more evenly.
I still love this carrier though and prefer it's convenience and portability.

The sling has a nice fabric to it - not too thin and flimsy, but not overly heavy either. I was frustrated with trying to adjust it at first, but with a little practice, it worked just fine (I'm a first time ring sling user). I love that it is so easy to carry my little one in it. The fabric stays in place. It doesn't sit completely smooth in the rings, so pulling the sides to adjust takes a little maneuvering, but it's pretty easy, and once you've got it where you want it, it stays in place. I also like the little pocket on the "tail" of the sling. Since I'm only a month post partum, I don't have a lot of clothes that fit, and the ones that do don't have pockets. So it's nice to be able to just drop my phone in the little pocket there. I have a Samsung GalaxyS8, and it goes all the way inside the pocket, it doesn't poke out.
