This stove works just as good as my other backpacking stove; however, there are a couple of features that I like about this particular one. First, there is a cut out that allows for tinder to be added without lifting the pot or pan off. This significantly reduces the risk for burns. This didn't have any impact on cooking ability. Second, the fold out pot supports are really sturdy and provide a stable surface for medium size pots like my Stanley.

Burns hot and fast. Make sure you have plenty of dry, small fuel gathered beforehand. Used the onlyfire Stainless Steel High Heat Charcoal Fire Grate for Small and Mini Big Green Egg Grill, 5.6-Inch and it fit perfectly.

Decent stove for backpacking. You should definitely use a firestarter and it is not recommended if you are in a hurry such as hiking in a group. Weight is a little heavy and be prepared for blackened pots and fingers. Also you will smell like smoke for the rest of your trip (not terrible if it is a long trip with no shower). It will boil water in about 5 minutes.

This thing is big enough to wrap a Folding Firebox with it. I got the big one. If you have a twig stove get the small size it will still be plenty big enough for sure. Be careful with it it will bend but not likely with it all folded up for carrying. In my opinion it's a bit pricey for what it is but if your outdoors your going to need one, the wind is always blowing when your using a fire! Plenty tall, even for the Firebox. Works well. Do it.
the arms dont hold 2 positions reliably

it works ok but one of the selling points for this model over others was that the pot holder arms can be folded in to accommodate smaller cups. on the one i received one of the arms just flops down and doesnt stay up thus negating my ability to use it with the trail cup that i use. good idea but until that is fixed its only just ok
