They have no sharp edges and seem to stick to my feet as good as anything

I gave up my clipless pedals and shoes for pedals with straps and running shoes for faster transitions in triathlons. The problem with those is that they are top weighted and the flop under and after you mount, you have to flip them over while you are starting your bike takeoff which takes time, and too many times the sharp edges on those pedals have left holes in my feet because of my haste and miscues in that transition frenzy. To the rescue are the Meetlocks. They have no sharp edges and seem to stick to my feet as good as anything. They are light weight, built very sturdy, and I don't need to take time flipping them over as they are the same on both sides of the pedal. I only do sprint triathlons and I think that in a 12 mile bike ride the small amount of time you may gain from clipless pedals is negated in the process of transitions with switching shoes from biking to running. Put on one good pair of sockless tri running shoes after the swim and you will have a 45 second T1 and a 30 second T2.
Only good until they aren't.

I loved these pedals and purchase a few other pairs of these pedals for my other bikes, as a result. Imagine my surprise, when after using one set for less than 6 months of use, perhaps 3 or 4 times a week for no more than 4 hours total, that one of my pedals broke off at the spindle.
Well, I had read Meetlocks' customer satisfaction blurb, prior to my purchase, and felt sure if I emailed them they would respond to me timely, in order to resolve the issue I had. This is something they indicated they would do. It has been 3 business days and I have yet to hear from them.
As a result, I cannot recommend Meetlock pedals. A product, no matter how wonderful, is only as valuable as its ability to be utilized as indicated. A broken pedal is not.

Bought some for myself and my neighbor. Love them!

My stock schwinn pedals on my roadbike were terrible and even ripped into my shins on a fall. These Meet Locks are beautifully crafted pedals.
Size: Wider and longer than my stock pedals, thus gives me more area to press my foot down and makes it easier to pedal.
Grip: The studs/cleats on the pedal help keep your shoes on the pedals. Love the grippy feel. No issues with shoes slipping off the pedal.
Materials: Lightweight is the best way to go with bike parts. The alloy materials are strong and I am confident they will hold up when pedaling hard. The sealed bearings are the way to go in pedal bearings - keeps dirt and water out and leads to longer bearing life.
Packaging: Nice sturdy box that seats the pedals in so they don't move around, the pedals are also wrapped in small bubble wrap padding. Looks like a premium product packaging.
Thoughts: I used a small adjustable wrench to install. The pedals come marked as right (R) and left (L), hand thread first to avoid damaging any threads.

don't waste your money

Bought them in August, it is now May and the right one is knocking and crunching -- and I do not ride in the snow so it didn't see that much use. The pins hold better than the $8 plastic pedals, but the bearings on these are way worse. What apiece of junk, I'd've been better off with 3 pairs of resin pedals for the same money,.
Extremely well made, very light, SUPER GRIPPY, easy to install.

Wow! I just installed these and went for my first ride - I LOVE these pedals.
So my Trek Hybrid bike came with standard plastic, cheap pedals. The original pedals were ok of course, they did the job. But I found that sometimes they were just a tad bit too slippery. So I started to shop for replacements. I'm wary of pedals that look like layers of flat aluminum that have been pieced together. I wanted something more solid, more like a big brand like Shimano. So after searching and searching I uncovered these Meetlocks pedals.
These come packed in a nice cardboard box, very well protected.
I installed these as soon as they arrived. Installation is REALLY easy, just go watch a quick Youtube video and you'll be an expert in no time. REALLY, these are EASY to install. The pedals are MARKED with an L and a R on the pedal (for Left and Right - as pedals ship side specific), so you can immediately tell which side each pedal goes. They don't need any fancy tool to install, a standard open end wrench of the right size will do. An adjustable wrench will most likely be too big to work - they're too wide.
Once installed these pedals look great - the picture does not to them justice.
Now - riding. The pedals have little "pins" that you can see in the photo. The pins are there to grip your shoes, and grip they do! The grip level is what REALLY SURPRISED me! I don't want to use clip in pedals/shoes, but I did want far more grip - and these pedals GRIP like crazy. My feet feel almost connected to the pedals now. They grip so well if you need to adjust your foot a bit, you need to lift your foot then move it around. THIS IS A GOOD THING!
All in all, for a much higher price I'd suggest these pedals. For the PRICE, these are 5 stars - all the way.
I'd buy these again, and I'd suggest them to a friend in a heart beat.
