These work wonderfully. Use white flour for dark bread and cocoa for lighter colored bread. Some folks apply a background of one or the other before using the stencils. The results are great. They add a little extra to your baking project for the holidays or when you bake an extra loaf of bread for a friend or neighbor. I'm sure these could be used on cakes and other baked goods as well but since I'm primarily a bread baker that is what my experience is.
NOTE TO DISTRIBUTOR: The one negative I have about the product that should cost half a star is the complete lack of instructions or guidance of any kind with the product. It was a half-star issue to me because I'm fairly experienced in the kitchen but for someone else, it may just be a three or four-star disaster.

As you can see these bread stencils work really well. Super easy to use. I first dampened the surface of the bread, then sifted coca powder over the stencil. And viola!
