This device works exactly as intended, but... It's a mechanical device. If you don't know how to handle mechanical devices then you may have problems. You need to grab it with TWO hands. You need to muscle it into place while offering strain relief to the base. How do you do this? I can't help you here. Just find someone who has an understanding of working with mechanical devices that are not idiot proof. So, when you drop your iphone do you give it a 1 star rating because the glass broke??? Well, maybe you should. All I can say, that if handled properly, this device works perfectly. You can safely ignore all the 1 star ratings unless you think you can just grab this thing and shove it into position- it needs to be finessed. If you don't understand what I am saying you can just practice with a piece of stiff wire as I did when I was 8 years old. Are you smarter than an 8 year old? Good- then you should be able to figure it out. Just don't blame the device if you fail.

This webcam mount literally came in about an hour ago. Took about a minute or so to set it up and get it working and I was back into my workflow, no problems. Not really sure what the complaints were about unless there was a different version offered before, but this thing is stiff!! Mounted to my desk, no problem, mounted my Logitech c920, no problem! I set it where I wanted it and it does NOT move. This is great if you are using multiple monitors (in my case 2 - 32" monitors) and need a place to put the cam so that it isn't sitting up too high. I would not try to put a large SLR or anything like that as it probably won't hold, but again, the title says "WEBCAM". Very happy and I recommend this product!

I really like this camera pole.
Pros:
:Heavy duty.
:Sturdy. Made of a thick bendable, coated, metal, it would be very hard to damage this thing.
:Completely adjustable. With it's design I can bend it any way possible to get the perfect angle.
Cons:
:Heavy. It is really heavy. It makes it impossible to clip to anything that isn't weighted down great without it, the item it is attached too, and the camera, tilting or falling over
Hard to work. While it is bendable, it requires some strength to get it to bend and twist in the way I need it. It is stiff as well, so even if I can't clamp it to something, I also can not easily coil it to make it's own base.
Overall I am glad I bought it. I would buy it again if needed.
