I purchased this roll of carpet protection film to protect my area rug and hall carpet during our Christmas dinner with our kids and small grandkids. I did not want to worry about little kids spilling drinks on the rugs and carpet. It was easy to put down (with 2 people). I would try putting it down with just one person. We only had it down for 2 days, but it did the job of protecting the floors and it was easy to remove. We only covered a hallway and a 12 X 12 area rug, so we have plenty more to the next event.

Went against the directions warning against putting this on wool rugs. I placed directly on 100 year old oriental rugs and fuzzy flokati wool rugs. We had over 1,000 people touring our home during a rainy weekend and this worked well to see the rug underneath while protecting from dirty shoes. Next time I will wrap the edges of the rug with non sticky saran wrap/cling wrap first then place this adhesive film. When removing this from the edges it did want to pull on the wool knots where the ends are frayed. If there is an area that has a tear that would pull wool or fiber, I would suggest covering that will saran wrap too. The saran wrap will stick to the adhesive film but not allow it to stick to a delicate area on rug or carpet. Slight learning curve on how to place. 2 people make it go quicker. We placed a few inches onto wood floor and rolled onto rug, lifted up and unrolled about 2 feet while other person smoothes film from middle out to edges. When removing the film roll from edges into center and it sticks to itself while keeping dirt contained. I'll use this again.

Skeptical after reading reviews but it worked exactly as it should. Had to have 12 chairs and two tables for a big crowd eating on my light color rug so I covered it all. (Had to leave rug to protect flooring from metal chair feet) Even extended it to stick to flooring and so thankful we did since someone spilled a dark soda on the flooring but the rug was protected. A pain to unroll, stick one end and unroll just a few feet before pressing down the next section. Easily sticks to itself. Overlapped strips for extra assurance. Held up against chairs being moved but I feel it is a bit too thin but it did work.

Good product. Worked as described and was very easy to remove.

Moved during the winter and didn't want to ruin the carpet. This worked like a charm and caught so much dirt and dust.
