Fine Flavored Chicory Root

I have used other ground chicory suppliers for a few years. I blend my own chicory cofffee. I have been using the ground chicory I received form Teeccino for more than a week now and am thoroughly enjoying the flavor of my morning coffee. I used the same ratio and the same brand of French roast coffee I have been using. I believe I will purchase this same ground chicory in the future.

I've given this 5 stars because I couldn't find anything wrong--though the price seems a little steep. What got me started was I need to work on a diet so bought this product. I add a little to my regular coffee and it gives it a good taste. I really bought it for the health benefits, though--not enough time has passed to decide if chicory is a good thing to add to my diet. I think as far as diets go, this is only one thing among many items--there is gut-health, proper carb/calorie intake/portion control; as well as an overall program such as increased exercise. I'm guessing that some people though, especially from the southern part of the US and the EU may be buying this because they like the taste of chicory--it is (quite strong so use a little to start with) an individual preference thing; some people may not like the taste of chicory.
Smooth with a nice armoa and no bitterness

A nice smooth chicory with very low bitterness compared to others. I like all types of chicory, bitter is nice sometimes but this is a very smooth blend with a nice aroma and low bitterness. Probably the least bitter I've tried. I use it in a decoction on it's own and sometimes blended with Cafe Bustelo decaf and it's very good either way. Organic is nice bonus. Recommended, especially if new to chicory. Try this if you have a high speed blender. Brew 4c chicory or coffee chicory blend, add to blender with 1/2c heavy cream, 4T butter, 4T cocoa powder, sweetener of your choice (I use stevia) and blend on high until you can see that it's emulsified.

At first, I didn't think I would like the flavor since it's completely different than regular coffee. After a few cups, I got used to it and now love it. I don't add anything to it for sweetener since it already has a sweet flavor. We add it to regular coffee to darken the roast and add flavor. This is definitely on our daily routine.

I'm a French roast coffee lover. Tea just doesn't do it for me. When I decided that I wanted to get off caffeine I looked for a coffee substitute. This one had great reviews so decided to try it. I was definitely skeptical and expected a kind of watery substitute for my Starbucks but I was pleasantly surprised. It is actually quite good. It brews like Starbucks ground and you can actually use somewhat less of this chicory to get a similar rich French roast flavor. I'm quite happy with it.
