Although I have found this product helpful for canine discoid lupus, it is not a miracle worker. Doggie adrenal support, a raw ketogenic diet, raw dandelion juice, dandelion root powder, type two and type one collagen/peptides have also been helpful among other natural medicine. the raw anti-inflammatory diet is more helpful in my experience than this snout soother product, but this snout soother product is still useful and safe for dogs. As for protecting their noses from the sun, the most organic/safe sunblock for canine noses is made by Badger, the 98% unscented "sport" version with an 8 hour lasting sunblock feature (22% non-nano uncoated zinc oxide as active ingredient) and an SPF of 35. Both products, the snout soother and this badger sunscreen are safe for dogs because they won't poison them if they are licked off. I keep my discoid lupus dog out of mid-day sun and heat, and keep the snout soother continually applied, except for walking outside in the late afternoon, which is when I use the unscented sport version of Badger sunscreen.

My poor Frenchies nose was so dry it had developed excess protein on the end and become almost "pointy". He was miserable. I thought I'd have to take him to the vet but I thought I'd give this a try first since it was all natural. Boy, am I glad I did!! His nose is like new!! I used it on him twice a day (sometimes 3) for about a week and a half to two weeks and saw a HUGE DIFFERENCE. I could tell how much better he felt. Even though he didn't care for the "application " part of it - he knew it was making his nose better so he put up with it. I was just very gentle. He did like to lick it off my finger after I was done - weirdo. LOL!! Anyway, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Initially, I loved this product for our 12 year old lab's nose. It went on nicely and in short order his nose was softer and mostly healed from dehydration/sun burn from before we adopted him. My biggest complaint is the quality over time. Even though we had healed the severe damage to his nose, we realized that our dog does have a chronic condition of dry nose on one side. To that effect, we have been applying this snout soother nightly for a little over six months. Currently, I am in the final portion (maybe an 1/8th?) of this container and it no longer works. Our dogs nose is getting dryer and the salve is separating and there are little balls of oil that no longer get absorbed. I have never experienced such a short shelf life on natural salves that I have purchased. If I was to buy this product again I would definitely buy a smaller quantity because I hate to experience waste like this.

This product is amazing!! I wish I would have taken a close up of my dogs nose so I could show how amazing it is!!! I have a far away pict that you can kind of see his nose in. He has hypothyroidism (his thyroid doesn't work at all) but he's allergic to the medications to make it work. It causes him to excessively gain weight even on a normal diet and exercise. But it also makes his nose dry as a bone! It actually looks like he's rooted around in mud and it's dried onto his nose. I have tried every prescription the vet as given us and nothing has worked on his nose. He's 10 years old and it's been like this since he was about 3 years old. A friend recommended this, it had free return, so I figured why not. It's day 3 and I am amazed!! His nose is looking sooo much better already!! A little bit of the product goes a long way too! I have been putting it on him twice a day and it's amazing! He does lick somebody off. We give him a treat so he is occupied, but he still licks it, but that hasn't really mattered I guess because it's working so well!!! I wish I would have known about this stuff years ago!!! I can't wait to buy him some of their other product! I'm for sure buying the pad cream for his feet! If your dog has a dry or chapped nose, BUY THIS!! It's worth every penny!

This stuff is amazing. We rescued a nine-year-old GSP about six months ago and he came to us with skin that was in rough shape. His snout was very dry and cracked and he had chafing on his elbows that were very large very swollen and looks like almost like eczema it was terrible. We saw an immediate difference just after a few applications from putting this on his nose as well as his elbows. He looks like a brand new shiny dog and he is healthy and skin is healthy in this stuff was fantastic. I wish I had a before picture to show you but unfortunately I don't but below is his nose now he looks perfectly healthy.
