Great value, easily customizable meal

I order these regularly. The soy, chili lime, and lime chili shrimp are absolutely my favorite options.

They're EBT/SNAP eligible, and as a disabled person, that helps a lot.

These also cook quickly, and you can add extras to make them a more substantial meal.

I regularly add egg, extra fresh, frozen, freeze dried, or even pickled vegetables to these to make them more hearty. It's not a lot of extra work and that's also helpful when I'm low on spoons.

Tip: for fresh veg, take your sauce pan on med-low heat, add oil & the spice pack to flavor them, and toss in your veggies.

Cook them a bit. Frozen will take a little less time. If you have dehydrated, just rehydrate first.

Once they're cooked, then just add the recommended 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Toss in the noodles and cook.

I like topping with crispy fried onions (the freeze dried ones), bean sprouts, pickled veg"¦endless options.

With food prices being so high, ramen is a definite regular in my household.
Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup Chicken Flavor

These Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soups are a great hit with my grandchildren. We have test tasted others and these are #1! It only takes 3 minutes in the microwave to cook. Each package of noodles are folded and can be divided into 2 separate meals for smaller children or just for smaller portions. It also comes with a chicken packet full of flavor. I use half the packet and a bit of butter to give it a special taste. I've even used a bit of garlic aioli and it tastes very good. I highly recommend for you to try and add different flavors also to suit your taste.
Meals on a budget

Different flavor option than the readily available chicken, beef and shrimp options found typically on grocery store shelves. A whole case for under $5. Whether you're tight on money, attempting to soak up your evenings poor alcohol choices or ballin on a budget the addition of this flavor will not disappoint. Spice level is medium but full of flavor without sweating bullets.
Lime Chili Shrimp is my Favorite!

These are super handy and so low-priced, the perfect food to stash in case a hurricane or any disaster keeps us from getting to a store. I boil my water with a little garlic powder and onion powder for added flavor. For variety adding butter, chopped meat/veg or cooked egg makes for a change. I usually don't use the entire seasoning packet because of the sodium content but I do save the leftover seasoning packets in case we have beans or rice that need a flavor boost. I try to keep a few cases of these on hand in case of another lockdown or other disaster. We also really like the Creamy Chicken, Pork, and Beef flavors so far but we haven't tried all the other flavors yet. Great for emergency prep or a midnight snack!
Maruchan is the ONLY ramen

Ramen is ramen, but maruchan is the only ramen I get (mostly probably out of habit, lol).

My staples are chicken, shrimp, and most recently I tried chili lime shrimp (spicy!).

I generally try not to spend more than $0.35 per package though $0.25 is where I prefer it to be. Regular grocery stores are trying to charge $0.50 or more for ramen these days!

I make it in the microwave like my old college roommate:

Boil water in kettle, put noodles in bowl with seasoning, pour water on noodles, and microwave for 30 sec to a min. Can also leave covered (with like a plate) for a few mins. The noodles really don't need much to reconstitute.

To live it up I like, at the very least onion/green onion/ dried minced onion, but enjoy tossing an egg in after a little water is poured in and then the rest of the water, some diced tomatoes, and sliced mushrooms. The mushrooms really help handle the extra salt.

Growing up, my dad would make shrimp ramen with chopped up hot dogs in it on the stove.
