I have used it once so far for golf range finder with success. Very adjustable, and worked fine on the golf cart upright support bar. Instructions to do the added step of locking it in by turning it don't make sense to me. All that did was bend the little tabs on the male end. Like other reviews said: it holds just fine when you just stick it in.

Love this latch. Lets me hook my rangefinder out to the top of my push cart, or strap it onto a riding cart if I do that. Saves me time and lets me get distances for every shot and not worry about slowing down a round with my friends.

I really love this. Very good quality, and I don't have to worry it will fall off the cart when going over bumps. Very solid magnet and the 1/2 turn to lock it in is easy.

I have used this for around 6 rounds and it works good. I never lock it in place and just use the magnet to keep it secured and so far it has held my rangefinder secure even on a very bumpy course. My only complaint is that one of the courses I play regularly has older carts and the roof support bars are about 5/8 inch square and are too small for this to work properly. The support bar goes in the middle and the strap tightens down on each end with Velcro and if the support bar is too narrow the Velcro wraps around itself and does not have enough grip to secure it as intended. What I did to make it work on that cart was to take and old golf glove and wrap that around the support bar and put this strap around that and that worked. Not the best look in the world but it held up. All other carts I have used have been newer and it works great on those that have the larger diameter support bars.
