It would have 5 stars if it had come complete. It came missing an interical part of faucet installation...a nut to hold it in place. So it's somewhat useless. It looks great and is of high quality, but who cares when a major part is missing. It works as a faucet...that you could buy for $20. But all the features that make it worth $80 do not function because of that one missing part. Back to the stupid overpriced big box store to get the same ugly faucet every other person in my small town uses. Sigh. Ugh.

This is for the above mentioned plate that covers your pre-existing holes if you switch from a two handle to a single handle.
As soon as I installed the new faucet with this plate, and tightened it down, I noticed it began to bend in the center from the pressure. Both sides began to "wing" up. This item needs to not be hollow inside, or needs a spacer to make up for the pressure being exerted on the middle. Kinda bummed I didn't think of that myself, and now my plate is bent. I'll have to pull it off later and bent it back, space it out myself, to fix it.

Weak and will bend as most reviews say. I took a chance on this as I saw some good and bad reviews, BAD move. If you have a single hole faucet you know the faucet is going to be big and hefty. Deck plates are usually strong and can hold them.
Not this one, it bends and caves in. Think it is a fluke?? I bought and installed 8 of them in a week, all of them make a great faucet look crappy. Stick to a better brand/rated one

Returned twice because the box said Oil Rubbed Bronze but a Stainless version was inside the box. Needed a kitchen faucet so I was prepared to live with the stainless steel that was delivered the second time. However, the design of the connection inside the faucet is impossible to tighten even using the smallest of wrenches, there is just no space inside the base to property tighten beyond hand tight. Also, the flexible hose length is only 18 inches which may be adequate if the supply lines are wall mounted but if they are floor mounted like mine, the lines are too short. Of course, the lines are not a standard fitting so switching out with longer lines is not an option without a coupling. Between the couplings and the main connections, I could not get this faucet to be water tight. I would not recommend this faucet.

The product itself is solidly constructed. I like that it has a foam underneath that keeps it from sliding back and forth. My only concern with this product was whether it would absorb and keep water between its base and the sink top. I would imagine you could add caulk to the outside (I would recommend this), but it would have to be a clear silicone as a colored caulk would ruin the elegance it portrays once installed. It looked great in the bathroom sink with the faucet we purchased; so this is not restricted to just a kitchen sink.
Caveat: We ended up returning it because it didn't fit our sink as it was too narrow for the 3 off centered and not aligned holes; otherwise we would have kept this very well made and elegant looking deck plate. This same style deck plate is hard to find at your local hardware and specialty stores. Very well worth the price.
