💪🏼 You too could have arms like Michelle Obama
Shannon✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 18, 2023
Swol is the goal, size is the prize. Yeah - bro!

There's nothing more empowering that now being able to lift, carry and throw (nicely and onto a bed) my 6'4 175 lb boyfriend around (I'm 155). I am pure muscle and power contained in a lovely 5'8 package thanks to this thing. A little kid called me She-hulk the other day - hell yeah. Several kindly ladies at various times in the last 3 months have said my arms look like Michelle Obama's.

I am at 10 pull ups in one go after 3 months (with a lot of hard work everyday) - I do this 3-4 times daily. My push-up game is amazing, my rock climbing is solid, and I am ferocious in a kayak.

I started at 0 pull ups. I couldn't do a single one when I got this thing. Low back hurts like hell. Got winded opening pickle jars and walking up the hill from the mail box (it's a big hill to be fair). NOT ANYMORE!!! Jars fear me, men and women gaze at my biceps with awe and envy, and sometimes children call my wonder woman or SheHulk.

Best purchase ever if you are willing to put in the work. Even if you aren't, just hanging from it everyday has made all my back problems go away. Only thing I would suggest is make sure you buy grip tape for the bar. It's a game changer!
Close to perfect

I looked thru a lot of pull up bars and was set to just make my own, I'm glad I saw a guy on YouTube taller and heavier than me using it. This is much nicer than I could've made
Likes: easy to put together and painted nice, portable with bag for pins and parts
I'm 6ft 2in and 220-228lbs. It's tall enough for hanging all the way extended (knees up of course)

You may not expect: slightly wobbly, but I got used to it; I noticed later versions of pull up mate have supports making a triangle shape, so those prob don't shake at all
You won't get as many pull ups as normal. This is bc the bar is bigger diameter than any pull up bar I've used. I'm sure if I get on a normal diameter bar, I could do lots more;
Good for travel

One major thing I didn't like is it has no grip. You're going to be gripping nothing but smooth metal and paint, so I would buy some grip tape to wrap around the bars. Another thing is where the spines join at the top bar for your pullups is riiiight where some people's hands should be, within proper shoulder to shoulder length for your pullups. As an athlete one should already know technique is important, so make sure you check the dimensions to fit your technique. Wide grip is great. I appreciate that this is easy to assemble and disassemble. Proper for travel. It has some flex to it, which isn't too bad, so prepare yourself when you get into your exercise. Comes with a bag.
PACKAGING IS REALLY BAD!!! Product has a dent already...

Overall seems to be a good stand. As stated by others, this has a pretty sturdy, solid construction.

A couple of CONS:
-The packaging isn't great, they have some styrofoam in there that partially separates the bars, but it should encompass the entire inside of the box. The ones they use break apart during shipping.
The outside of the box had one strip of tape to cover the opening (IT'S A 48LB BOX!!! what is one strip of tape going to hold???)

Because of the packaging, there's a dent in one of the pipes, & if that's not bad enough, it's also slightly warped (not straight) because of the dent.
Hopefully they'll upgrade the packaging.
I paid $200 for this (though a sturdy piece of equipment), you'd think they would invest more in the packaging.
-The holes don't line up exactly, it takes some finagling to get it lined up (so it may take you more than 5 mins to change from chinup to dip station and back)
-the carry bag is a joke (it works to hold the pipes, but don't try to move it! Bag ripped on the first try). I'm going to try using some black duct tape and reinforcing the handles all the way underneath the bag to the handles on the other side.

Can't necessarily blame the seller for the packaging since it's the manufacturer that packs it, but be aware what you're getting.

All in all a great option for a collapsible home calisthenics gym, with a wide variety of exercises you can do.

It seems to hold my weight (240lb) even with the dent, but time will tell.
I'll update if anything happens...
My choice for a portable pullup rig for fulltime camping
Steve✓ Verified PurchaseJune 6, 2023
I purchased this for fulltime truck camping. Ideally I wanted it to be taller because I hang rings from it and 63" is so low that I have to modify many exercises since hanging rings gives me a working height of about 50".

At the time, only amazon warehouse carried the product as "slightly used". I knew it would be dimged up and assumed I'd be missing some clips so I ordered these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KPZQ389/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which were perfect.

Look, the box will be beat up. Some bars may get scratched. You can't ship steel pipe in cardboard boxes from china or wherever then via UPS without it happenning.

And when you slide steel into steel, paint is going to scrape off.

Whatever. I could deal with that.

Here's what I love:

1. It fits in the carry bag. 48" x 12"x12".
2. It's lighterweight than any portable self standing alternative That I am aware of.
3. Takes about 5 minutes to setup and breakdown.
4. Seems to be good construction.

It helps to have a rubber mallet or a hammer if you don't care about the paint when assembling. Sometimes the pipes need a whack to line up the holes or to dissassemble. I may put a little silcone lubricant on the ends to see if it makes a difference.

Other times I need to twist a pipe just a bit to fit the pin.

Is it wobbly? Sure a little. I would do crazy kips or swings on it. But I've done skin the cats, front rolls, pull-ups, hanging lsits and tuck levers with no major issues.

Is it as solid as a wall attached bar, a ceiling mount or a full rack? Of course not. But when those are not options, this will do well for me.

"”"”"”
I contacted the manufacturer and ordered 2 extra upright bars and am experimenting with making this a taller unit. With these added, the top bar is now 106".

While the height seems ideal, I am not sure if this will be stable enough or structurally sound at that height.

It feels pretty wobbly on first assembly at this height.

I may even cut these down and drill new holes to try it at 93" or so.

I'll update my post later with my results.

The manufacturer and seller clearly do not recommned making it higher nor do I.

If you are a normal person and not some kind of exercise weirdo like me, stick with the standard height and bend your knees or do lsit pullups. You'll be safe and won't tip over.
