Not for the organized traveler

I really tried to like this and even got this more expensive option as opposed to a cheaper one that just didn't close without a lot of finagling. This one closed fine and it did what it's supposed to, I guess. But it's awkward. Yes, you have everything right there, you just dump it into the bag when it's laid out and then you pull the strings to roll it up (Though I could NOT roll it up with just the one string, I had to grab both sides of the bag to do this) and voila, you have a little carry pack! I wish it was that simple. Things get totally disorganized and if you have bottles you want to stay up a certain way, there isn't really a way for that. You can lay them down in the little straps but they are laying down. If you're a person ok with chaos, this may work for you, but for a very organized, albeit admittedly lazy person, which is the reason this appealed to me, I would say skip this and find something else.
No More Fishing In the Bottom of a Black Hole

We travel to Europe almost every quarter and I've struggled with a good makeup bag. I got tired of fishing for my small eyeliner in the bottom of a black-hole bag. I bought this for our recent trip and LOVE IT!. The draw string closes the bag securely so that things don't fall out and the water resistant cover makes it easy to lay open in a damp sink since many European hotels don't have counter space. I can see and get to everything I need. No more fishing for small pencils. I'mi giving these to my travelling friends as gifts. I got the bigger bag because I tend to travel with multiple colors of eye shadow and blush. The smaller bag would probably be fine if you're a blush/mascara/eyeshadow kind of gal.
Great packing tool! Saves time and keeps me from over-packing!

I really love this! I'm terrible at packing for a getaway--even just for a weekend. I laid this out the night before we left, put all of my makeup stuff in it, and then worked from the bag to get ready the next day. This helped me realize what I was missing or what I didn't really need. When it was time to go, I simply drew it shut and shoved it in my luggage.

At the hotel, I commandeered a corner of the bathroom vanity and opened this up to use my products. When we were ready to the leave the room, I didn't have to worry about hotel staff maybe messing around in my stuff because I drew it shut and hid it away.

No fumbling or digging around--it's all laid out there for me. Very convenient.

Now, it's not watertight--if something opens up, it's going to spill. There's no way around that, unless you shove the whole thing inside a huge ziploc bag. But so far, I've found no other bag that is truly watertight. I didn't spill anything, but I did wipe it down when I was done, and it dried up quickly.
I love my cosmetic bag

I love my cosmetic bag. It does indeed allow you to spread out your makeup for good visibility. I wish the drawstring was a little shorter. Of course, you can always cut some of it off if you need to. I tied a knot in the cord so when opening it, I can pull open quickly until it reaches the knot (that might sound complicated, but when you see it you'll understand). I plan to purchase a few more as gifts for my friends and have them monogrammed. Love 'em!
A real space saver for your cosmetics and non-digging to see all your stuff at once

I was skeptical before buying this but I'm now a big fan of these bags and even use them for other then cosmetic items..I've bought three of them now and have been impressed. That having been said, I will provide a pros and cons here

Pros:
1. Big space saver, there is no compartments to divide things and everything is bunched up together...hence, it makes sense that it would save a lot of space.
2, Can be put in a small bag or purse without too much notice. Considering how much cosmetic cases often cost (and even purses), the price really isn't that much.
3, Very discreet and attractive if it has to be carried outside a purse or cosmetic organizer
4. When opened, you can immediately see everything at once, making it easy to decide what to use at any moment. Nothing is hidden and everything is protected from falling all over the counter.

Cons:
1. If you are going to put it in a luggage for travel, make sure it not only is cinched, but is knotted after bunching it so it doesn't come undone
2. Don't put anything that has a lot of fluid in it, such as some moisturizers that has pump action on them.
3. If you are sure that some skin care items will stay put and won't "bleed" (like some jars), it'll be fine, but if you're not, this is not the bag for it.

However, considering how much space most women's cosmetics take up in a purse, this bag is perfect. It'll fit perfectly in some toiletry bags and be fine with a lot of extra space left over for other things (for most toiletry bags). "Necessity is the mother of invention" and the person that thought this thing up was on to something
