My daughter just turned 8 and this is what she wanted! She is a very slim 8 year old, and I got the size 8. If your kid is more of a size 10, I'd order that next size up. I measured in cm her leg length and matched it to the sizing. She loves it. Some of the stitching is coming out at the waist band, but it's holding on. I'll fix it if it comes all the way out. She doesn't have a mono fin, but really enjoys feeling like a mermaid when she swims. true color for the dark blue. I felt like the price was fair for the product.

My daughter is almost 10 and a little chunky. I bought the size 14 for her and it fit perfectly and she loves it. The material is maybe a tiny bit thinner than a swim suit, but I instructed her to sit in the pool to put it on and not on the rough area that surrounds the outside of the pool so it doesn't pull or snag. So far it's held up very well and I expect her to be able to wear it next summer without any issues, since it's so stretchy and it comes up a little high on her waist (but that's due to it being a 14). She already had a monofin from Target, and it worked just fine under the tail.

My girls love these mermaid tails. I purchased them each one (purple and blue) for their birthdays just before the Fourth of July. It is now mid September and while they have enjoyed them, I am happy that I did not spend more than $32 each. After three swims, both tails started getting holes where the plastic mono fin meets the tip of each fin at the bottom of the tail. They were slightly disappointed, but didn't care too much and keep swimming in them. I'm sure I can sew it up as it worsens. I would just say to the next buyer to expect it. You get what you pay for.

This mermaid tail has been a huge hit with my daughter. It fits true to size. Please note that this does not have the hard plastic fin inside the bottom. It is just material. However, it still looks and acts mermaid-like in the water. Mind you the material is not the same quality as the more expensive ones, but after seeing my daughter get in and out of the pool in it I am glad I didn't spend an
