I love the bands it is pretty cool but I haven't been able to get a spark off of the fire starter. I was at it for 30 mins and it didn't work. I have used similar items before and have had no trouble getting a fire started. either way it is still what I expected.

Definitely a fun novelty toy, but I can't say I would want to get stuck in the woods with this. The compass works if you hold it jussssst perfect. Otherwise, you may be headed the wrong way. Maybe a cute stocking stuffer for boys- not really something I would give a true adventurer..

These are super cool looking, a great idea, and excited the scouts. The reason it got three starts is the compasses used suck, they get stuck constantly and unless you do a wiggle dance, there is no way to tell if they are actually pointing in the right direction.
