Poor design don’t buy.

This is a terrible design. There are two little soft prongs on top to hold it in the drain. Once clogged with even a little hair it's slips down in the drain. I caught it once and was able to pull it back out. The second time it went too far into the pipe and will now have to flow through our house plumbing.
And then poof! It was gone.

This worked reasonably well for about 5 months. This weekend, I noticed the shower pan filling up with water very, very quickly, so I assumed that I needed to remove a massive buildup of hair on the shroom. I lifted the drain cap and...nothing. No showershroom. It had slithered right down the drain past the 90 degree turn and off to parts unknown, but not far enough not to clog the shower drain almost completely. I think we managed to push it down to the main line, where hopefully it will flush away and not haunt us later.
DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM! It will fall into your drain.

UPDATE: our plumber came today and rodded our drain in the hopes of pushing the ShowerShroom into the main sewage pipes (which are 4 inches wide), since there is no way of pulling it out. It cost us $460. That is one super expensive hair catcher, and we can't even get refund on the ShowerShroom itself. So, I repeat, do not buy this product. Save yourself the money and headache.
Very bad design. The small plastic bar across the top does NOT prevent it from getting flushed down the drain when taking a shower. We had it for over a month, and the plastic just started to get softer and softer until last week while taking a shower, it got flushed down the drain. Now we scheduled a plumber to come and get it out so it doesn't lead to a bigger clog in the future. In retrospect, we should have returned this item, as soon as we questioned the design of it. Not only have we paid for something we can't return, doesn't work, and cause us to spend over $100 for a plumber to get it out. Now we need to look for another hair catcher that is properly designed.

The top of the shroom needs to be bigger or less flexible. I'm fairly certain that our shower shroom has gone down the drain so now we have a worse clogging issue than we had with just hair and I will likely need to call a plumber. Not happy about that at all.
It fit easily into the pipe

This was bought for a walk-in shower. It fit easily into the pipe, but it almost fit *too* easily. The little silicone bar across the top didn't reach the sides of the pipe opening, but I popped it in and waited a couple weeks. Cleaning isn't quite as simple as the video shows, as the hair gets caught in the middle of the shroom, but it seemed to catch any hairs that were disappearing down the drain.
My biggest complaint is, I went to clean the shroom one day and when I opened the drain cover, I could barely see the top of the shroom wayyyyy down the pipe, further than I could reach. It was starting to bend into the U or J shape of the next pipe. I'm afraid if I would have waited any longer to clean it, it would have been beyond reach and I would have had to call a professional to help me out. I had to take a wire hanger and hook the end to fish it out. Scary! I made a wire bar out of the hanger so that now the top of the shroom can't slip below the opening of the drain pipe, but I will keep a closer eye on it from now on.
