Tougher to install than Cinelli tape, but looks promising!

Pros:

Tough to install compared to Cinelli tape
Normally I just use Cinelli tape, it's cheap and I've used it for years so it's super quick for me to install. But I wanted a brighter pink so I gave this tape a shot. I definitely struggled with the installation, Cinelli tape is pretty stretchy so if you ever run into a problem with a tight bend, you just stretch the tape harder and all your problems work out. The Domain Cycling tape is different as there are two layers, a pretty conventional tape layer with a thin, grippy surface layer bonded to it. It seemed like the tape portion stretched list most tapes do, but the surface layer doesn't stretch as much so it was tricky getting all the slack out of the tape when going around bends or the brake levers.
On the plus side, it really is grippy, which is nice. Very happy with the cushioning, too. I've seen some reviews were people have had problems with the two layers separating, but so far no problems with that here. I'll update this review at the end of the season.

I've bought lots of this item over the years and it is very good. Recently, a chinese source is listed as the primary seller, at a much lower price.The Chinese product is junk, if it actually arrives. Make sure the seller is the US supplier, Domain. The price difference is well worth getting the good product.

Decent wrap for the price. I always use thin cork bar tape so the soft gel was a big change. When I put it on the bike was still mounted to the trainer for the winter time and wasn't sure if liked it or not. After a few months of riding with it out on the roads I've really come to liking it. Soaks up a lot of road vibration and very comfortable. I thought that the thicker softer tape may feel less stable on a fast technical desent, but that has not been the case at all. In fact 99% of the time I'm riding I never even think about bar tape, which is exactly what you want. Only compliant I can have is that the end plugs and adhesive tape that come with are both cheap and useless, toss those is the bin and use good ol electrical tape and reused my old plugs.
